GEWGAW THE MOVIE

Jan 11th - 483 views

Over the last four years we have been putting a lot of time and energy into making this street video. Countless hours, cold nights, taking heavy hits and loitering at the spots all in an effort to make the best street video we could with the resources we had. We appreciate all of the homies who helped us out along the way and we hope you enjoy our video.

A Sidecountry, Sidehits & Skiing Part.

I was invited to join Dennis on his own latest project to help out on his part in the latest MSP film " Calm Beneath Castles " (Don't try this at home Part). It was great to take away so many experiences and memories of our time together since i don't get to do my own projects yet.

If any Brands are interested to get involved with me to build out my resources to create more projects - please reach out to me.

This short is made possible by Dennis Ranalter's & Matchsticks Production's good will.

Thank you guys.

Cinematography: Fabi Hyden & Matthias Reich
Additional Filming: Christian Klabacher
Music: Daevar - Yellow Queen
Editing: Self Edit

Newschoolers Awards 2025 | Breakthrough Skier | The Nominees

by Newschoolers
Jan 9th - 780 views

Deciding who counts as a breakthrough skier is pretty subjective. At the end of the day, our judges make a call and it's based on who they feel really moved the needle in the previous year, in terms of raising their industry stock. It could be someone who wins a major event for the first time, drops a career-changing video part, or moves into the upper echelons of the ski game for the first time. This year's nominees certainly all made that leap this season and we can't wait to see what they have to offer in years to come.

Unfiltered — An Elisabeth Gerritzen Portrait (Full Film) | Faction Skis | 4K

by Faction
Jan 9th - 910 views

She rose to fame on the global freeride stage with bold line choices and unwavering determination.

In the second episode of the Portraits short film series, Unfiltered, we reflect on Elisabeth Gerritzen’s remarkable competitive skiing career. After a 7 year campaign on the Freeride World Tour, Elisabeth—fondly known as “Eli”— won the crown in 2022. At what seemed like the peak of her career, it spurred on a soul search for what competing truly meant for her.

With her riding peers in tow, Unfiltered captures Elisabeth at a turning point of her career, as she charts a path beyond competition. Armed with her freeskiing mastery and a frank worldview that’s as sharp as her ski edges, Eli’s skiing journey is far from finished.

A co-production with Blue Max Media
Directed by Etienne Mérel

Featuring appearances by Faction athletes Sam Anthamatten, Andrew Pollard and Sophia Rouches
Shot on location in the Swiss Alps
