I would bet anything that it would look more or less the same. And it's not speculation on my part because Netanyahu and others have quite literally said that returning the hostages is a secondary objective and they will not stop until Hamas is completely eliminated. You don't strike me as a naive guy, which is a good thing, and so I don't know why you would think that this is still about the hostages. If it was, then why do would they drop 2,000 lb bombs on buildings in densely populated areas?

What Israel is doing is fucked. I just like enjoy playing devil's advocate. But being there a few times and seeing things first hand and reading the history puts things in perspective. The arabs were doing similar things on a much smaller scale for hundreds of years despite their 'cousin' lineage.
