The unfortunate part is that most, though not all, of the popular conservative pundits and politicians who were completely anti-Trump quickly bent the knee once he was elected.
It's much so less the case when it comes to real people. My best friend's dad is a Republican. His daughter is gay and he's extremely supportive of her. He does tons of volunteer work. Donates lots of money. Absolutely hates Trump.

Can we get term friggin limits in congress? There are a few people who seem to keep fighting for the cause all the way, but many of the career politicians become a cog in the system. They get so detached from the people they represent and it become more of a weird dance with lobbyist the people etc.

B) Again, do the math of what going from 145% to 30%, plus the drops in all other tariff rates, and extrapolate that too how much $$$ will be brought in. We are also forgetting the opportunity cost of this: Is the revenue generated by tariffs a net postive to the overall economy and the average American?
C) The budget could be balanced without tariffs. Bill's surpluses were throughout 3 fiscal years iirc? We are 4-5 months in here. Since this isn't a tenable long-term strategy I'm not sure what I'm supposed to conclude from your point.
