woogsI’m debating whether to go to a function can I get some advice. There’s gonna be drugs and shit and I don’t mess with that. And there’s zero female presence so what’s the point. But on the other hand I have nothing better to do and it might be chill.

GayWolf420Work requires DH helmets and chest protectors to patrol. I feel so lame riding in one, but I found them both on geartrade for like $120 shipped. Pull the trigger? I ride a pretty stock Stumpjumper and honestly love half-shells more.

profa_212What certs your helmet need. I'll send an older predator dh6 if ya want it. Haven't skated at speeds needing it for years
VTshredder69do you get drenched riding enduro with that? I'm sweating just thinking about it in this east coast humidity.

partyandBSpeople who do half or 3/4 shells while doing DH look like straight up kooks. get the full face and some goggles and a basic chest protector. Thin elbow and knees are good too. high speed falls on dirt rock and trees fuckin suck. gloves and bike specific shoes go a long way too.

BiffbarfI'm use to it at this point but the 'dry heat' cliche is also real in CO. Also I ride at old man time (asscrack of dawn) to beat the heat and the crowds

SteezyYeeterim all graduated now!
LippamaniSwisher sweets or marb reds im torn
GayWolf420Yeah dude. We all looked at each other and were like "Oh shit we gotta go do an evac in a lightning storm"
partyandBSoh shit. wouldn’t you just leave em hanging?? i think as long as they aren’t touching the ground, the shock goes around them. i feel like i heard something like they can hold the charge and once they touch ground get shocked or that the evac could ‘complete the circuit’ and shock the patrollers and person on the chair but that could totally be wrong.
partyandBSi had no idea there was a donor forum lol. just looked and last post was 2 years ago on the ‘post a hot girl thread’
FakeKalmarHell yeah!
partyandBSalso, all those strikes were within 30 minutes of the screen shot. lightning every 4 seconds for 30 mins is crazy.
FakeKalmarDouble hell yeah!
Sadly we haven't had any. Temps have been under 20 all the time which is great.
profa_212Saw a taco dressed to the nines yesterday. Literally every overlanding "upgrade" you could think of. Guaranteed to have been on less rowdy roads than my 05 pilot
On a side note, I overheated my tranny the other day hogging the ole girl in the hills scouting for turkey and deer spots. Steep mud and boulders was too much for her after a few hundred thousand i guess
WoFlowzhow do you like your 1st gen pilot? My parents r probably taking my 2015 Pilot for a work/ellicottville car they’ll leave in the hills or use to hall shit for our garden. I’m lowk in love with the old girl. She’s needed next to nothing and i’ve put 30k miles on it since we got it. Just oil changes and tie rods. Will be do for a timing belt at like 230-240k since we did it at 160k. I’m liking the reliability and relative affordability of a first gen or a ridgeline.
MixyHonestly, super embarrassing to admit, but this is the longest I've gone without alcohol in over 5 years and it's only been 2 weeks. Progress is progress though 😎
Also, anyone got any good book recommendations about old sailing voyages? I loved Endurance and just read 'The Wide Wide Sea' about Captain Cook and I'm hooked 🎣.
