OP should've just stood at the top of Chair 23, realized it's too much for him, and cruised down Around the World like every other casual skier at Mammoth. Instead, he asked an honest question and gets torn apart in the comments by a bunch of reddit assholes. Too funny

i find that to be true for all of reddit and not just r/skiing. if people just did a little bit of their own research instead of going on r/ask(w.e), society as a whole would be a lot better off.
on the other hand, we wouldnt get this sort of comic gold if people werent so dumb.

As someone with bent chetlers and moments I feel attacked by this post. The ski collection isn't obscene, but having three near identical alpine boots is extra weird to me. Do people have boot quivers other than tour vs alpine? "today looks like a 120 flex day" I must be a newbie

I can't imagine ever skiing a different boot inbounds on different days. I want the same feel in my boot for anything. Only different boot I'd ever want would be a light touring boot but I'd want it to have the same feel as my regular boot which is basically impossible

You're very right, every time i look i see something new. Just noticed that they have to rubber band their brakes back just to put their skis away. Imagine getting home and having to fix your brakes before hanging your wet skis on the drywall.
