I saw this image of a guy with a red bull helmet who wasn’t sponsored in another thread, had to see if for myself. To my surprise it was true, and it got my interest piqued.
So I wanna see it all, the posers, the newbies, the pretentious asshats.
let’s see the best (worst) Reddit and assorted jerry forums finds from you guys.
R/skiing where the level 1 instructors spew garbage pseudo coaching yet are considered the professionals.
People use that term so fucking lightly man, I've been a pixel artist for years and years, and I see vids now with some dumb fucking tik tok cunt making some dogshit sprites and calling himself a professional or it will be like.. From noob to pro (pixel art) then show this beginner level shit for professional man its fucking annoying.

STEEZUS_CHRI5TI don’t get why this makes me so mad but I need to know if it’s serious or not
It's probably serious, just coming from a rookie level 1 instructor who was one or two weekends a year skier before they starting their job. Getting a PSIA 1 cert is pretty easy, they want you in the club. Big jump to a level 2. No experienced instructor I ever worked with talks like this but a lot of newer and lower level ones do.

That’s so lame. Reminds me of when I took a beginner skiing class for college credit. I showed up wearing all park gear thinking the instructor would be chill and we’d just ride together. Nope, he brought me to the bunny hill and critiqued my carving for the entire hour. He had the most punchable face. He knew damn well that I knew what I was doing but was trying to make a point against park riders. Guy was a control freak loser, I transferred after the first day and did bowling.

this was posted earlier in the thread but like, why the hell would your skiing have costed $18000?!?! bro this jerry thinks that without the megapasses, you have to buy like 10 different season passes to all the places you want to go 💀 bruh hasn't this guy ever heard of a "home mountain"?
also WOW less people are at the mountain midweek, great observation, way to tell us you're unemployed without saying it
Idk what he’s complaining about. I never put my racks on anymore because of gas mpg and salt, etc. on my skis. I will use a ski bag for the occasional trip and throw it in my car. Works great. Throw everything in one bag

Someone having a crisis over problem that exists only in their head and has an entire market of solutions.

Using a ski bag seems like a pain. No matter what you use it'll get wet and need dried out. Tarp is my go to usually.

90% of the questions on R/skiing could be easily answered by someone who knows what they are talking about for free by going to a ski shop.
It genuinely saddens me that there are this many adults who have obviously done well enough for themselves if they have the money to get into a hobby like skiing, that are this helpless.
Relax, you can’t expect 40 year old dads from Texas to have any understanding of the culture. honestly, it’s probably a good thing. I don’t want to see 40 year old wearing 4xl and sagging their pants
