I saw this image of a guy with a red bull helmet who wasn’t sponsored in another thread, had to see if for myself. To my surprise it was true, and it got my interest piqued.
So I wanna see it all, the posers, the newbies, the pretentious asshats.
let’s see the best (worst) Reddit and assorted jerry forums finds from you guys.
Am I the only guy watching these Reddit nerds talk about the deathwish and how “some shops don’t know how to tune them” and it’s an “aggressive tail tune”. God they are such know it all idiots lol

not even just on reddit but so many people get tunnel vision on ski specs when boots, goggles, bindings are all way more important
My philosophy was always that you should be able to ski any ski. You may not always like the experience but you should be able to ski any ski strapped to your feet. Skis are only one part of the equation

RparrI have 3 pair of the same exact ski because it is no longer being produced and I know I'll break them all eventually
Having multiple pairs of the same ski for park is awesome since you can just mix and match when they start getting too fucked up. Picked up a 2nd pair of shredditors for this reason.
I'm all about the skiing is expensive rant but this just ain't it. I complain about cars being expensive too but I don't use the cost of a new Benz as my reasoning.

these people all bought mega passes the moment they came out which single handedly nuked affordable community hills. now that the duopoly is in place they wonder where all of the inexpensive options went. how puzzling
I've heard of people with multiple alpine shells of the same size and model but in a different flex but use the same liner and footbed. The point would be to use a stiffer shell when it's warm out and the boot plastic is soft and a use a softer shell when its cold out. Defiantly only really a thing in the race boot scene tho
extravertAs someone with bent chetlers and moments I feel attacked by this post. The ski collection isn't obscene, but having three near identical alpine boots is extra weird to me. Do people have boot quivers other than tour vs alpine? "today looks like a 120 flex day" I must be a newbie

I've never thought of doin this, I'm not sure I ever would but late season when it gets hot out I def feel when the boots get mushy.

Not all boots have this but my dalbellos have these stiffeners that you can slide into the shell behind your calf. I have moved their position based on temperature but I'd just get stiffer boots and deal with it in the cold if they didn't come with them.
Tecnicas have a screw that you can insert/take out to stiffen or loosen the boot by roughly 10 flex (at least 10 in regards to tecnica) so kind of similar

"I can't afford this sport" says the guy who is even in the position to afford passes, gear, and hotels for his family. lmao. Clown world skiing has become sometimes.
Homie can just stay back and work from home instead.

Pick a tempo of 180bpm lmao do you guys really tell people this? And one ear bud only 😂 thanks captain safety
It’s so funny how different our sites are. Our “fear” based threads are almost always something that’s worth fearing like learning inverts. Not just skiing “steep” shit 😂
I get that everyone learns differently, and has different battles, and I tried to give the Skiing Reddit a chance but they make it so fucking hard to do man
