How's the village and town? I'm not looking for much besides grocery stores, gas stations, weed stores, etc. Just purely skiing and working and day trips to nearby areas to check-out for the day.
The town is cool. Got some cool little spots. Kinda tiny but not necessarily “lacking” in anyway. It’s about 5-10 minutes from the village. The village is sleepy but nice. It’s literally across the street from a grocery store, gas station and liquor store. Idk about pot shops.

How's the skiing though? Like honestly I really dig the down-to-earth smaller ski area vibes out west to be frank. I am kind of burnt-out from working in the big leagues but Id enjoy WP and the area it sounds like.
To or to not go out tonight. I get in these antisocial moods but part of me feels like I’m wasting my college years? Turned 21 over the summer and I have yet to go to a bar. Idk
also makes me realize how much of a stronger connection I have with ski friends vs. non ski friends. Cause if my ski homies were out there I wouldn’t even think twice about going out to meet up w them.

the skiing is underwhelming but i imagine they see far less injuries and less severe. the gig should be chiiiiiill. grand county will be much sleeper than summit/eagle. you’ll probably wanna spend a lot of you days off at WP or exploring away from that area. the clientele is a lot of rich texans and front rangers with young children that dont wanna pay too much for their kids to learn. if im not mistaken, the resort and the real estate/developer are all the same company

I haven’t actually skied there but I might this year if I’m up there. Pretty sure Loveland has free days. I imagine wp will hook you up with some days and you’re not too far from steamboat iirc

Real. Going out downtown is hell on earth for me.
Friday evening empty gym workout, pizza, and shooting pool is peak for me.
Used to feel I was “wasting muh college years” because I don’t go out much but I’ve realized that IDGAF about any of that shit.

Yeah your not gonna be able to for a while, Unless if you find a way. If you got a finger splint on then maybe you can put a piece of rubber at the end like tony iommi. I think maybe a couple layers of balloons would do the trick. But yeah your probably just gonna have to stop for a bit if it hurts with any pressure on it.

I don't play guitar anymore but I broke one of my fingers recently and about 3 months after it broke, I couldn't even tell I ever broke it in the first place. If it's not terribly displaced it should absolutely fully heal in time

my first time drinking i was probably 13 or 14, 100 lbs, 5’2. me and my homie probably bagged 10 shots of jack in about an hour because we were dumb as fuck and didn’t understand the concept of alcohol kicking in. after that experience i was throwing up for 2 days straight and had motion sickness for 4 or 5 days so no, they are not a myth.
hangovers show up in many forms. doesnt have to be blood shot eyes and a pounding headache. sometimes it shows up as added anxiety throughout your day. sometimes its puking. sometimes its a lack of mental clarity. sometimes its the beer shits. no 2 hangovers are the same. and no 2 people have the same hangovers.
i used to get anxious and i would have to do something so i would bike or ski or hike, etc. pretty sure it was a primal instinct that my body was threatened so i dip down into flight mode and needed to relocate lol. this reaction did not align with others who just wanted to eat junk food and watch movies in the dark.
anyway, great question to ask as you prepare for you first drink when you turn 21. very responsible

yes, in the past 2 years I have suffered: severe quadricep contusion, hand tendonitis (both hands), bruised knee cartilage, turf toe, broken hand, broken finger, and Achilles tendonitis which has now morphed into plantar fasciitis as well.
I am not having fun. Before this streak of unending injury, I was actually in fantastic shape for like 6 years straight. I can still swim for exercise but fuck do I miss doing things
