Summer in Switzerland left overs we had jobs to do:

- Saas Fee, the Planks crew came out to film a release video for the new Woodsy Signature Series line, enjoy BTS of BTS of that filming process.
- Crans Montana, Woodsy and Brody went to check out there ambitions to create a word class park for the winter time and see how they are getting along with those plans.
- Verbier, alpine home of SunGod - Ali & Dave take the us to the top!

People ask all the time about “the off season”, they say “when does your season start”... they really have no idea that the horribly cheesy cliche ‘this isn’t a sport it’s a lifestyle’ has never, ever been more true. We ski because we love it. We jump around and throw ourselves of anything we can find because we love it. In the full summer we find the tiniest spits off glacier still available around the world to shred because we love it. And when there is no skiing to be done it’s all eyes on the next opportunity to do so.

After leaving the remote South Pacific Island paradise that is New Zealand, the boys find themselves deep in the heart of the mother land and just in time for the Telegraph’s London Ski & Snowboard Show. It’s always a pleasure hang out with the Planks Clothing crew as well as everyone involved in the passion fuelled British freeski and snowboard scene!

However it’s not for long, a fleeting visit you might say, before the international calling of World Cup glory can be heard emitting from Northern Italy... Next stop Modena, the home of Ferrari and Lamborghini and now the home of what was potentially the most unbelievably advanced Freeski big air event that ever happened! Woodsy doesn’t have skis, Max dishes out high fives, Brody’s camera gear, much like everyone’s everything get soaking wet as the heaven’s open during qualification and as can now be expected week in week out - the skiing is mind bendingly out of control! (Excuse the audio malfunctioning due to the rain, I’m sure you can cope 😉)

What does it take to be an action sport athlete... an extreme sports person... the kind of fool who throws them self from massive jumps into oblivion... ?Well you have to be ready and willing to accept the crashes and falls.

Despite pride in what we do the old saying, “if you’re gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough” couldn’t be more relevant - it’s time to be tough. “The measure of a man is not how he acts in times of ease but times of adversity and conflict”... it’s time to be tough.

Huge respect to my good friend Jossi for well and truly joining the ranks of Freeski royalty. After ticking every possible box around the globe to earn this status, back at his home resort Cardrona Alpine Resort, NZ he now hosts easily one of the raddest, truest and incredibly well attended events of the year. Jam session style and rider judged, with perfect weather and no time constraints, world class features and attendance from almost all freeski & snowboard’s current Jedi Masters, the fourth annual, deservedly named Jossi Wells Invitational just happened and with another year it was another huge success!

Thank you so much Jossi, Cardrona, Wanaka and Queenstown for hosting us and to everybody who made this blindingly thrilling event happen. What a treat it was to watch the world’s best unleash their furious talent under Tom’s Rock, no holds barred as a nod of respect to the man Mr. Wells who brought everyone down to his home on this beautiful spit of land hanging onto the bottom of the world. Certainly TC casts an eye each year to grace this spectacle of an event.

Due to an incredibly successful launch last year, Woodsy’s World is back for it’s second season!! After a hugely successful 2018/19 winter season, bagging X Games medals and the World Champion title, and a well deserved summer break, Woodsy and the crew are now back in the mountains! The first stop for the boys’ year long, madness of a World tour starts at 14,000ft on the world renowned glacial training grounds of Saas- Fee, Switzerland.

A final tip of the hat respect to Danny Warley for getting this train rolling in exceptional fashion last year, however now it’s time for the new man behind the lense Brody Jones to step up and take over! As you will see here in episode 1, stepping up to plate is certainly how Brody rolls - Enjoy the cinematic, awe striking visuals that surely only this exceptionally talented, B.C.
