It’s December 3rd 2019 and we’re deep in the annual, pre-season dash around the alps. Currently en route from Stubai, Austria to Livigno, Italy, we take a pit stop at Corvatch, Switzerland to check out their early season park set up and the stop definitely didn’t disappoint... Until it did.

After the crash, reality hits and now it's time to deal with it. A flight to London, seeing the big time specialist all to find what needs to be done to get me back in action...

After leaving the remote South Pacific Island paradise that is New Zealand, the boys find themselves deep in the heart of the mother land and just in time for the Telegraph’s London Ski & Snowboard Show. It’s always a pleasure hang out with the Planks Clothing crew as well as everyone involved in the passion fuelled British freeski and snowboard scene!
However it’s not for long, a fleeting visit you might say, before the international calling of World Cup glory can be heard emitting from Northern Italy... Next stop Modena, the home of Ferrari and Lamborghini and now the home of what was potentially the most unbelievably advanced Freeski big air event that ever happened! Woodsy doesn’t have skis, Max dishes out high fives, Brody’s camera gear, much like everyone’s everything get soaking wet as the heaven’s open during qualification and as can now be expected week in week out - the skiing is mind bendingly out of control! (Excuse the audio malfunctioning due to the rain, I’m sure you can cope 😉)

When life throws you lemons (or a dislocated collarbone) I suppose there’s nothing else for it than to drag your sleepy ass to the other side of the planet, meet up with all of your incredible friends, grab a microphone instead of skis and go hard in the commentary booth instead of on the mountain!
Spoiler alert (which should of come first!) that’s exactly what goes down in this episode, but before you think it’s ruined settle in to watch your favourite charismatic, painfully good looking, world tour guide/ British freeskier accompanied by his loyal subordinates or “the damned ones who have to put up with him” (depending on who’s writing this bio), take on their annual commute to Planet Earth’s southern gem... Have you ever wondered how it would actually be as a video game character? Well Woodsy and the crew got about as close as one could possible get last week at X Games Oslo...
Picture yourself at stratospheric heights stood atop a skyscraper of a drop-in ramp about to descend at an almost vertical angle through a tiny hole in the roof of Oslo’s Telenor Area into a world class jump and fly, no rather: soar, above the heads of thousands of gawping fans and with not only survival as your primary objective, but the taste of X Games glory daring you into throwing the biggest and best tricks the world has ever seen and tempting you ever further into doing it again.
We can all get the taste in video games however the true grit and determination, consequence and pain, misery and elation of shredding at this stage cannot be artificially reconstructed. This is the premise behind this series, strap in and go truly behind the scenes and see what it is and what it takes to live your dreams.

Down days are real. When you’re living in the mountains trying to get out, the weather will shut you down. It’s just a part of the game. It has been a difficult few pre-season weeks as the skys have been dumping snow for us, we have to be grateful and excited for an amazing winter coming up however Woodsy and the crew are going insane locked up in the appartment as cabin fever has well and truly taken hold.
That being said when it’s on, oh baby it’s ON, sit back, relax and let Brody Jones (cinematic prodigy) prove to you why living in the mountains, pursuing the dream is so, SO worth the wait.

Due to an incredibly successful launch last year, Woodsy’s World is back for it’s second season!! After a hugely successful 2018/19 winter season, bagging X Games medals and the World Champion title, and a well deserved summer break, Woodsy and the crew are now back in the mountains! The first stop for the boys’ year long, madness of a World tour starts at 14,000ft on the world renowned glacial training grounds of Saas- Fee, Switzerland.
A final tip of the hat respect to Danny Warley for getting this train rolling in exceptional fashion last year, however now it’s time for the new man behind the lense Brody Jones to step up and take over! As you will see here in episode 1, stepping up to plate is certainly how Brody rolls - Enjoy the cinematic, awe striking visuals that surely only this exceptionally talented, B.C. (Canada) based, first time in the European Alps, young fizzer of a videographer can produce... in other words episode 1 will blow your miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind!
