The time has come to break down Woodsy’s dislocated SC joint injury. For over a month the man has been down in New Zealand living and breathing rehab and recovery. What does it take to be an action sport athlete... an extreme sports person... the kind of fool who throws them self from massive jumps into oblivion... ?Well you have to be ready and willing to accept the crashes and falls.

Despite pride in what we do the old saying, “if you’re gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough” couldn’t be more relevant - it’s time to be tough. “The measure of a man is not how he acts in times of ease but times of adversity and conflict”... it’s time to be tough.

After leaving the remote South Pacific Island paradise that is New Zealand, the boys find themselves deep in the heart of the mother land and just in time for the Telegraph’s London Ski & Snowboard Show. It’s always a pleasure hang out with the Planks Clothing crew as well as everyone involved in the passion fuelled British freeski and snowboard scene!

However it’s not for long, a fleeting visit you might say, before the international calling of World Cup glory can be heard emitting from Northern Italy... Next stop Modena, the home of Ferrari and Lamborghini and now the home of what was potentially the most unbelievably advanced Freeski big air event that ever happened! Woodsy doesn’t have skis, Max dishes out high fives, Brody’s camera gear, much like everyone’s everything get soaking wet as the heaven’s open during qualification and as can now be expected week in week out - the skiing is mind bendingly out of control! (Excuse the audio malfunctioning due to the rain, I’m sure you can cope 😉)

Down days are real. When you’re living in the mountains trying to get out, the weather will shut you down. It’s just a part of the game. It has been a difficult few pre-season weeks as the skys have been dumping snow for us, we have to be grateful and excited for an amazing winter coming up however Woodsy and the crew are going insane locked up in the appartment as cabin fever has well and truly taken hold.

That being said when it’s on, oh baby it’s ON, sit back, relax and let Brody Jones (cinematic prodigy) prove to you why living in the mountains, pursuing the dream is so, SO worth the wait.

Enjoy and remembering stepping on a chestnut... is for life!

AUGUST IN SWITZERLAND - JOBS TO DO | Woodsy'sWorld S2 #15

Summer in Switzerland left overs we had jobs to do:

- Saas Fee, the Planks crew came out to film a release video for the new Woodsy Signature Series line, enjoy BTS of BTS of that filming process.
- Crans Montana, Woodsy and Brody went to check out there ambitions to create a word class park for the winter time and see how they are getting along with those plans.
- Verbier, alpine home of SunGod - Ali & Dave take the us to the top!

People ask all the time about “the off season”, they say “when does your season start”... they really have no idea that the horribly cheesy cliche ‘this isn’t a sport it’s a lifestyle’ has never, ever been more true. We ski because we love it. We jump around and throw ourselves of anything we can find because we love it. In the full summer we find the tiniest spits off glacier still available around the world to shred because we love it. And when there is no skiing to be done it’s all eyes on the next opportunity to do so.
