for sure, really good game, I feel like mikkel has got so many weird tricks consistently like that kink hop on the heartbeat or the jumping the flat on the dfd that don't seem that hard but will really catch some of the other guys off guard. I think hes gonna make it far this year

Joss already dunked on you but popping off ur tails on a lip 2 is way harder than even nollie lip 2, it's a valid call and pretty techy since it's such an awkward motion

Fine whatever. I live in Jacksonville FL and have a Yamaha banshee w 30in rims so Mr Olympics can dunk on me all he wants ig. Still don’t understand how you can call “Ollie” when going off a lip forward.

do you bmx or mtb by chance? we can say going off a lip normal and lifting everything all at once is the equivalent of a bunny hop while pressing through the tails for an ollie is like a j hop. of course you know what a nollie is which popping off your nose in biking is also called nollie lol.

also do you know what a lip 2 is? i kinda feel like you don’t but lip on is traveling from the right and spinning on left or vice versa so the ollie lip 2 adds challenge as your tails need to get above the rail first therefore the ollie call is gonna have the tails down longer so they had to go bigger and deeper onto the rail.

also, weird flex with the yamaha lol

you got it backward, also the Skiing UN security council (me) had a meeting and determined the most concise way to describe what lip means is "you spin away from the rail"

yeah i described it kinda weird. traveling right because your approach is from the left side of the feature. basically doing an alley opp on which would be a funny call lol

How do you not know the difference between olliing off a lip vs just popping off it. It's a completely different feel and action

I feel like that last one is kind of a toughie. I would have maybe gave it to Johan, it was defense. But when he made that face .... that's tough. Bc if the skier him/herself feels they didn't get it, hard to give it to them.

To be fair it was kind of just a way for Max to explain what he was doing, his exact words were "ollie off your tails, you know what I mean, so its not like a nollie", think he communicated the trick well and think its substantially different than the normal way u do a lip 2, I don't know how else you would call it

Didn't love the way Evan got a loose call in the beginning and then immediately after there were some loose calls that could have gone in favor Andreu but didn't, not the biggest deal since I think Evan still probably wins but just something I noticed that I didn't like. Other than that, that transfer was hype asf

also related to my last post, I wonder if Slvsh should implement a redo rule for things like that F4 on defense, things that are like kind of a 'make'. Similar to how it is done in games of SKATE. Prob wouldn't apply on the last letter where you already have two tries.

also, not to get too triggered (it's not that big of a deal lol), I've seen most slvsh games over the years (weird flex) and that is the worst call I can remember, girl or guy ref. If anyone can think of a worse one, please lmk hahah,.

I mean look at how he landed on the rail, his hand is almost a full foot away from his ski.

Super grateful for the great entertainment of this slvsh cup and for Evan for being a machine of a skier, but i just can't wrap head around what happened there.

That was not even a loose call in the beginning, ref straight up blew it. Evan did not land holding in the slightest. No disrespect to ref, I imagine it's hard to see on a small screen but that call was unfortunate.

I agree and I'm mostly downplaying it since even if you give evan the letter there it has 0 impact on the rest of the game.

What i noticed on rewatch is that the comments are fuckin nasty and land holding is living rent free in a lot of people's minds, dude called two LH tricks and everyone's hating on him as a person as if he's some bum ass skier which sucks to see.

Yeah people are being way too sensitive over some shit that went down a year ago. At the time (and still now) I think the whole land holding thing was funny. Personally im glad noah won idgaf if he milked that trick too much, there was money on the table and the other skiers should’ve taken joss’ advice and learned that trick in practice. Anyway I think land holding is a cool trick I hope we see it more in upcoming games

Noah ruined last years cup for a lot of the audience. If the same thing happened consistently slvsh wont have an audience.

Recently I enjoyed watching Berg defending against Max while trying stuff he didnt look comfortable with. By contrast Noah pussyed out of trying a SWR2 then won the whole cup.

Those were some insane sets by max. First of all that cork 3 handrag literally couldnt have been more perfect, second that 2 on nose drag on the stairs was actually insane, and he had so many more sets in there too. This was a peoples game, insane super nice looking skiing from both guys and the judging was loose but it worked out cause max won by a lot anyways. Mikkel and Max are both insane skiers, fav game so far
