Yeah I know there were some rant threads over the years grinds my gears and whatever. I don't think any of them were that happening to dig up. I probably made one of them honestly. Whatever.

I figured if we could rant somewhere we'd be more docile creatures in the rest of the forums.

Fucking Boomers. I’ve been saving money for a while now and I have over more than enough in my savings to make a hefty 1000-500$ purchase and keep a good amount in there. I found a great deal on a HVX and my parents won’t let me buy it. Even with my own money, it shoots 1080p HD has multiple battery’s and would be perfect for follow cams and is easy enough for my inexperienced friends to use. It’d be perfect for everything I want to use it for but they don’t seem to think I should buy it. My GoPro doesn’t have a zoom or really any adjustments of any kind other than width and is subpar in anything but bright sunlight. My 13 yearold nikon coolplix takes some yucky footage but is relatively easy to use. I rly wanted a pd170 but my dad told me to I find something digital, well I just did and I like it and the footage. It’s just ughhhhhh it’s my own money and it’s something I like doing

Like what else am I gonna spend this on? I’m not allowed to drive a car without lane keep assist and collision prevention/monitoring cause I’m blind in one eye. seems sorta stupid you cant drive a car without that stuff. at least if closing one eye is anything like being blind in one, doesn't seem to take away that much of your field of vision

SavageBiffYa f that. I was spreading mulch once standing in a bed at a store and all a sudden felt as if my leg was on fire, looked down boot was covered with red ants, that spot has been ignored for 3 years, I don’t do it anymore


Yuk! Red ants suck! Got bit in armpit by one once. Like a wasp sting.

Powered through the work another couple hours, but got all these mosquito bites all over me rn. The itch from the mosquito bites never got me over the feeling of a hundred little baby spiders crawling on me.

I couldnt stand it, so I cleaned up an hour early and got my swimsuit on. Then used the highest pressure setting on the garden hose to power wash myself behind the house.

Real hot day so it felt okay. Still paranoid about spiders in my hair.

A lot more floor left to rip up. The bathroom next week is probably gonna be extra infested cuz it has more water damage and the bugs like that.

That's alright though. Just hoping I don't have a weird spider nightmare tonight.

People still goving people shit about "Omg like nobody care if you're gay". Near 100% of the time simply dont like/accept gay people.

Any way if the whole world was cool with gay peope their probably would be a protest with signs and everything when i went down to down. There is still a fuck ton of bigotey. I will never understand parents. They tell me to plan shit ahead of time I planned riding in Rochester with my friends ahead of time while they take my sister to play soccer in Rochester and now they say I’m not allowed to bike. It’s such fucking BS my sister plays soccer 4-6times a week and they drive 30minutes-1 1/2 per game and she has 2-4 games a week. The game tomorrow is 6hrs round trip away. But when I ask to got mtn biking more than once a week it’s to much to fucking ask. It’s so fucking stupid. I haven’t seen my friends since February and last time I arranged to ski with them at Bristol near Rochester my parents also told me I couldn’t last minute. It’s so fucking annoying

Bummed. Really good friend for years passed. Pretty shocked at the news. She was a friggin epic partner in crime. We loosely almost got married once a decade ago.

Was thinking about her a bit this week. Whenever I visit the home turf in NY we always post up together, drink sime whiskey, catch up and cause some trouble. Going to fucking miss you. Still can't honestly believe it. She went to the hospital yesterday, and then boom. I guess something went wrong with her heart. Idk the details.

One of the people that consistently shiwed me immense amounts of love throughout knowing her. Gonna miss her for sure.

Wild shit. Too many reminders that this ride is not forever. Tell your friends you love em and make the most out of this twirling space rock. RIP to a friggin good one.

Shit was just too sudden you know? Death is always tough but when it's so sudden it's harder to grasp I feel. She knew she was loved.

We were tight though. She was down with me, down with the gays, and just down to hang out and be awesome. My favorite person to hang with when in town.

But yeah, life is short. Death comes to us all. If you arent doing shit that you live reevaluate that. We're all dying. But she lived a good one. Will miss her deeply for sure.

Still don't believe it fully honestly. Idk man. Life is wild. Tell your friends you love them for sure life is short, death can be sudden as fuck, but live the best you can. That's all we can do

Btw, So sick you're working in HVAC and Refridgeration! Nothing blows your earning prospects open like learning a trade.

HEY How about that symbiotic relationship between construction and freeskiing?

The guys on site don't act all dipshit better than you cuz you slay on the slope, and the guys on the slope don't act all dipshit better than you because you slay on the site.

Nothing gets work back on track like, "Oh I got into this to be able to support my expensive extreme sports hobby that you don't know shit about. Get out of my fucking way."

Nothing gets the session back on track like, "Oh I afford to do this with my skilled trades job that you don't know shit about. Get out of my fucking way."

Just do a really good job at everything especially cleaning up. Try to angle on getting some jobs cutting weeds at really nice houses or doing other odd jobs. You could end up making contacts that can really help you in the future.

I used to hide my bags of dog shit off to the side of the trail if I was doing an out and back hike so i could grab it on my way back, but then I got worried that I'd hide it to well so I just started carrying it the whole time, really only sucks if you're climbing over rocks and trying to use your hands. I should probably figure out a better way to carry it.

So, I am a picky eater but I do eat a lot a lot of foods. It’s really easy to navigate what I do and don’t eat. Ex: I like bagels but I only like toasted bagels. Mom took me to a place and they don’t toast theirs so I just said I was good and that I’ll pass. Just got screamed at for being ungrateful for not eating something that I don’t eat and that I wasted her time. I didn’t WANT a bagel I didn’t want to go here. I didn’t ask to and she k ew that I don’t eat bagels if they aren’t toasted. I’ve don’t this since I was 6 it’s nothing new. And she knows they don’t TOAST THEIR BAGELS. It’s a texture thing I’ve tried really hard to eat them in toasted and I just can’t do it.

Bagels fresh from the oven do not need to be toasted, if it's an old bagel you should toast it whole.

The only excuse for toasting the inside is if it's a shitty supermarket bagel, if it's a good bagel your just wasting it if you toast the cut sides

Hot take: People who generally say "I don't like fruit" haven't had the pleasure of eating freshly-farmed fruit.

I'm talking local farmer's market or from your own garden. I grew up in the CA valley and there's nothing better in the world than a local fruit stand selling fat ripe strawberries or big juicy peaches. So so so good. It's in our biology to like that kind of stuff

Now that I live in Reno, fruit is super hit-or-miss. I think lots of mountain towns and desert climates suffer from bad fruit and veg

Gotta love when I drive a car .3 miles from a house to our shop, detail it and all, drive it back pretty fucking slow cause it’s a nice AMG wagon and there’s construction on the road, somehow the owners pissed cause it’s out of alignment, which I knew off the bat driving it from their house, and apparently half a mud flap is missing....fuckin rich people man, guy thinks I took it on a fucking joy ride or curbed it hard which I’d never do cause it’ll come back dirty and I’ve already damaged shit at this job and immediately told the customer or my bosses...plus they live on a damn bumpy road with constant work around it obviously the cars alignments off by now. Thanks for the large tip anyways bud.

BigPurpleSkiSuitOn the topic of picky eating, I'll eat most anything except for most fruits, so I get it. Just have always hated fruit, particularly oranges and won't go anywhere near them.

Oh for sure, it's weird. I'm getting a lot better but I'm also still recovering from an eating disorder and have food allergies so some of my stuff is expected. The bagel is just weird and I totally get that.
My mom isn't the kind of person that hopes you'll outgrow it she's the kind of person that feeds you food you're allergic too and then doesn't get why you have to go to the ER. I make almost all of my own food etc. and usually find something I'll eat. I just didn't want bagels and really wasn't having it lmao
