i am no finance bro and have a pretty rudimentary understanding but you’re giving money to a company. they take it and use it to grow the business with the promise of giving it back at whatever the return/value is. companies choose to enter the stock market to gain capital to invest knowing this agreement so if they don’t want you to be able to recall your investment at your will, they can not participate and access funds privately.

That is how the secondary market works.
when you buy a share from the market, Your money goes to the seller. The company doesn't see the money. When then stock goes up and you decide to sell some fomo dude will buy it from you. Money moved between you and the other sweat pant investor.

King Tut is sick because his tomb was fully lost until modern era so basically everything was still there. Most interesting is while his goodies he brought to death were pretty numerous and high value, he was a relatively poor king so his collection would've been pretty slim compared to the likes of Kufu of Ramses
