After a few years without skating at all, I've been out a few times in the past week with the kids I work with and figured I should pick up a stick. Always down with 50% off.
Also, it's way harder than I thought it would be to find a stick that's right handed and at least 60" long. #tallguyproblems

Really? If you find like a Total Hockey or whatever is near you shouldn't be too bad, considering you're right handed. Usually you have to cut down your stick so height generally doesn't matter as much

I know, but I'm cheap and sportchek had good sales. Ha ha.
I'm 6'4 and most place I went only had 57" sticks, which are pretty much to my chin without wearing skates. For the most part, the handful of sticks long enough were lefties. It took a few stores to find something.

Dam. Where ya located at? Guess MN is a little different. What flex did you get?

I think I would have been fine if I went to actual hockey stores. Ended up with a 95 flex. I'm far from a great hockey player, but I'm a big and strong enough dude that I figured that would be a decent starting point. See how it feels and go from there. Also, it's pretty much just for shinny, so probably overkill for something a wooden stick likely would have been enough for. Ha ha.

I'm 6'2" and i played defense for 15 years and liked my sticks basically to my nose on skates...would always get pro stock sticks some of those fuckers are tall
I know that not many people on here surf. But just look at this beauty of a board. Took 4 months to make, a custom JS Industries Flying Pony in HyFi. Thing goes unreal. Also stoked I only paid 675 for it, when HyFi retail at 995. Perks of working in a surf store. :)
