End sexism in contests

I had a great idea just now. Girls and guys skiing has been seperated in terms of skill for a long time. Something needs to be done to get it on the right track! Soooooooooo, END THE SEXISM! Instead of X-games girls and guys events, lets combine em! That way, for like, superpipe, no more girls and guys events, just one big ski superpipe event.

Obviously, the girls arent goingto be going as high or doing as great tricks, so something like a handicap would be imposed on the guys so that the girls have a real chance against Tanner. But wouldnt that be cool?!?! A girl could beat out Dumont for the overall pipe contest and we could show the rest of the world that our sport is the lone one where gender doesnt make a difference!

I still fail to understand why girls should need a handycap? Why can't they throw down as well as any of the guys? I think girls just need to grow a pair and start progressing. And by grow a pair I mean figuratively, not literally.

how is it showing the world that gender doesnt make a difference if you have to handicap the men to do it? it would be showing that they are bad because they actually need a handicap. and somebody else in this thread said it, a handicap would also be racist to the men, throwing down double corks and getting beaten out by no grab 7s

setting a handicap is very sexist. girls are much worse at skiing than guys. curling is perhaps the only sport where guys wouldnt completely dominate girls should they compete together.

same shit goes for the rest of the disciplines. I am not a sexist, but why go so far as to handicap a perfectly good man. Shit is weak. You can start competing with the men when you start bringing in the same amount of $$$$ to contests. You guys fought for equal rights and not wanting to be treated differently. Fight for your equal podium spot. Sorry, but just not gonna work!

why did you say 1/8 instead of actually doing the math? and girls can progress but handicapping the men wont progress the girls it will just make them be total pussies and just do 180s because they think they can win with that, thats why they have women comps

except that the girl with the hadicap wouldnt have really beaten dumont or whovever because the only reason they one was because of the handicap. it wouldnt be cool and it would stop progression in womens skiing and none of the men would ski x games and a new contest would be made with divisions so it would never work

I don't see how you can say "end sexism in ski contests" and then request that men be handicapped. Sexism is defined as "prejudice to a person or persons due to their gender." Last time I checked, male is a gender too.

skiing was never sexist to begin with. the idea of separate divisions was created to keep women like YOU from accusing skiing of being sexist when men always win. merging men and women and and giving a handicap to men would literally create the problem that you think your getting rid of
