End sexism in contests

I had a great idea just now. Girls and guys skiing has been seperated in terms of skill for a long time. Something needs to be done to get it on the right track! Soooooooooo, END THE SEXISM! Instead of X-games girls and guys events, lets combine em! That way, for like, superpipe, no more girls and guys events, just one big ski superpipe event.

Obviously, the girls arent goingto be going as high or doing as great tricks, so something like a handicap would be imposed on the guys so that the girls have a real chance against Tanner. But wouldnt that be cool?!?! A girl could beat out Dumont for the overall pipe contest and we could show the rest of the world that our sport is the lone one where gender doesnt make a difference!

as you can see... women are at no where near mens skill level to be put into the same category.
go ahead and prove everybody who has commented on this thread wrong. go out land dub corks, dub misty's, and dub rodeos....then we can talk about putting you in the same competition category. but in all seriousness...by the time women are as good as men are now....men will have been landing triples for years even in competition.

so dont get your hopes up unless some amazing girl advances to double in like 20 minutes. oh and i am not hatin...just being honest

it just wouldnt be fair to the guys who have trained hard for several years of their life to be able to throw down tricks like doubles and tripples and all sorts of rail stuff and to get beat buy a girl who throws something down like a 360 or straight slides a rail. That would just ruin the point of competition. if the girls didn't get some kind of handicap however, i'd be fine with that because thats an actual fair competition

That makes no sense... if anything that just creates more sexism... In a blind qualifier, not a single girl would qualify in the x games. Adding a handicap for girls would just be creating more sexist rules.

The flaw with this system Is during the preliminary rounds the boys would dominate an when it comes to the finals their would be girls in the event left! The only way a girl could technically beat out a boy is if he fell every run! I am sorry but this is the truth boys get like 15 feet of air while girls get like 5 feet it's just life! You really should be happy for Seperated events so your favorite girls can win! Anyways it is a good idea if you don't think about how the results come out!

Okay, sorry to say but if a winning run for women's slopestyle comp can have the person not finish a rail and a switch 7..... Not a good idea. To even be considered to win a men's slope style comp you have to toss doubles. It's the only way to rack up points (it's stupid I get it) but that's just the way it is. So as I see it they should be kept separate for now.

This is an awful idea. If women want to be as good as men then they need to get out there and work hard to progress as far as they have. Having men and women compete against each other wouldn't make women any better and it would be super intimidating to go into a comp knowing how much more progressed mens skiing is.
