That’s all well and good. I think Trump got the diagnosis of the problem mostly right that our government isn’t responsive to the problems and the suffering of the public in enough meaningful ways. When they talk about cutting the bureaucracy for most people it makes them think about the time they wanted to build a deck the size of a dining room table and the city was up their ass about permitting for months and it was a nightmare.
But the reality is that Trump doesn’t think about these issues in any of those terms. He is dismantling the FBI because he committed the crimes. He wants to build hotels in Gaza because he doesn’t give a shit about any of the issues except putting his name on another building. He likes Elon because he is rich. Elon wants to sell trucks because the liberal market is tapped out on his shitty cars and rednecks don’t like EVs. But they like Trump and they don’t like minorities, so there he is up there hailing Hitler.
