With the Eastern Ukraine providences they are ethnically Russian and were not down on the new government so Russia should have just moved in troops then called NATO to sit them down and make the area a neutral providence and work toward a lasting peace. The fact he launched a full scale invasion and is trying to take out Kiev was a huge mistake and overstep of the original issue.

You think that would have changed anything? Putin thinks NATO is a detrimental threat and does not want NATO at its borders. Had Biden been aggressive like this, despite Ukraine not being a member of NATO, he would have used this to take eastern Ukraine with the rhetoric that most speak Russian and are ethnic Russians anyway. Which people in the squadron got the kills is not certain yet, but either way this dude is a fucking hero who gave his life to try to fend off the hoards. Pretty amazing stuff. My guess is that the kills were probably spread amongst a few guys and the story has turned into a glorification of the returning pilot out of respect, awe, and the nature of the telephone game.
