SchizoSkierCan someone tell me why I flatspin to the left but spin right?
percsare you right handed?
steez_apprenticeprobably the best skier actively on this forum
ReturnToMonkeyAlso can't stop thinking about when @Thegenericskier did a rodeo off the big jump and he drifted to the left, almost karate kicking these two kids standing on the knuckle. Thankfully they were paying attention and dodged just in time
SupremeChairliftNext season is the first time I'll be on a full adult price Alta pass. It's $1400 and I'm broke as fuck rn. I'm gonna graduate with a CS degree in the fall and trying to work full time next season. $1400 is a lot of money to only be able to ski overcrowded weekends.
Been feeling kinda burnt out on being broke and stunting my career just so I can ski weekdays. The growing desire to finally "grow up" and the hustle and bustle of LCC has lost a lot of the charm Alta use to have on me.
I've been entertaining the idea of taking a break from skiing but honestly, it's a little scary to step away from something that has been my focus for the last 10 years. Does anyone have any advice or words of wisdom on taking a break from skiing?
officechairCan we please stop with “local” bumper stickers? There was a California plates car with a Colorado local sticker skiing at Solitude today.
ReturnToMonkeyReading that back it sounds kinda entitled man. I know most of you would kill to ski right now, even if it's alone and rainy. I'll ski for NS today
Dlonettiski for me friend. do a k fed. breathe deep
GayWolf420Just to be able to keep skiing into May while living in a new area is a mind-blowing thing bros.
littleman34I feel that moving to the west coast this year blew my mind how late you can stretch the season. It’s sweet :)

Dlonettithis tortures me as a midwester. quitting my job and spending a proper spring out west next season because of this
SchizoSkierWe sometimes go to July in CO
ReturnToMonkeyFeel like this is about to be the worst closing weekend I have had. It's gonna be gloomy and rainy the whole time. The big jumps are probably going to suck. I'm mostly skiing alone and either have to go camp in my car alone or do the drive solo two days in a row just to come home and be bored and depressed while my roommate fucks a girl. I basically got told I can't go hang out with people apres. Drug testing means I can't have weed and driving means I can't really drink. Feeling really down about life lately and skiing either seems shallow or the dopamine crash after is brutal. I'm forcing myself to go because I requested the time off work and should consider myself lucky I still have lift access skiing but I really feel bummed. Hopefully I'm wrong and things change
SteezyYeetererm can candide dub 10?
ReturnToMonkeyWhat axis is this and how do I fix it? Especially the flailing arms I'm not even aware of.

SofaKingSickrodeo. keep your body together more and practice and those will be dope!
BradFiAusNzCoCaIt’s about what you want from life and creating your future.
Do I miss skiing everyday? Yes. Do I miss being broke as hell? No. Do I miss living basically at resorts? Yes. Do I miss shitty living conditions? No.
Life is a push-pull of priorities and desires. I thought for the longest time only the ski industry stuff got me jazzed up. I’m now working on software at a multinational Fortune 500 company in a city 1 hour from skiing (WITHOUT traffic) and I’m jazzed up about it. I really like what I’m doing and what I’ve set up for myself. I’ve also allowed myself plenty of time to ski (though nothing like my past). I’m content. Me 10 years ago probably thought this sounded like hell lol

Dlonettiany recs for touring skins? friend told me nylon over mohair, and to look at BSMP. pretty clueless when it comes to tour stuff soooo
GayWolf420Keep coming back to this post for some reason. Mainly because these thoughts have been on my mind. I started working at resorts when I was a senior in HS. Dropped out of college to be a ski bum and didn't go back. I turn 29 this Fall and I make maybe $3-4/hr more than I did when I was a teenager. It's depressing. You love it so much but you want to walk so hard, but you don't have anywhere else to go because you just wasted good years chasing some sort of Dragon that was never there.
