Got a cooler from my boss today. He had one set aside for me for a while but I forgot. Stoked he still had it. Don't currently have a cooler and never had a nice one.
Heading into warmer weather and finishing work soon/ heading on a road trip so perfect timing.
May or may not have traversed on a slab unprotected with 200ft below me in order to get to this spot but it was fucking beautiful. I was just hiking with the fellas and we saw this spot from below and decided we were gonna go find it, in the process found a beautiful valley with a chill little creek. Shoutout to the fellas

Was out riding today and spotted these young pups. They were even trying out their tiny voices like a proper Wolfpack. Very adorable. Snapped a couple quick photos and moved on to avoid disrupting them unnecessarily

Dude they were so adorable. I wanted to hang there all day and just grab pics of them. Here’s the last one I got, when one of the little fellas scampered out for a peek

So sick. I agree, but also great call moving on and letting them do their thing. Something we always feel the need to do even if we'd rather sit and gawk at them for a while
Not random, very much intentional. Ran my first official 5k race today! Crossed the finish line with my best friend and we both had personal bests! I’ve ran the distance on my own before just never in a formal event. It was so much fun! I’m running my first half marathon tomorrow and I am super nervous and excited! Also can’t wait to get official photos but in the meantime this shot of us crossing the finish line will have to do haha
I just always assumed you were an asian man with your NS username.

I get that a lot haha. I have an Italian last name starting with Ming, which is much easier to say than my name. So I got the nickname Ming and slapped an extra g on there so it looked less Asian (didn’t work lol)

Actually amazing haha my goal was under 3 hours and my reach goal was under 2:40. I finished in 2:37! I know it’s not spectacular by any means, but I am not a natural runner and only really started taking it somewhat seriously 3-4 months ago. So it was a win for me! My splits were relatively negative and I ran the entire time which were other small goals I set. I really was nervous, borderline dreading the day and expected to feel miserable towards the end. Instead I felt determined and strong and crossing the finish line was such a rush! I had so much fun and felt so accomplished!
Congratulations, that’s so cool. Sounds like you really crushed it! Are you already dreaming of a new challenge? Have you got any other events on the calendar?

Thanks!! I think I did, not to brag haha. None right now, just gonna recover and try to maintain my mileage and focus on speed. There’s another half in October near me so I think I might try to set a time goal (not sure yet, maybe under 2:20 or 2:15) depending on how this summer goes! I’m doing some virtual runs with Disney (pretty medals haha). I would ideally love to get my time under 2 hours within the next couple years!
Very cool! Ambitious but attainable is definitely the way to go. Are you mostly running on the road or mixing it up with some trail runs? Not sure where you are so maybe there isn’t a ton of that but if you haven’t ventured off the asphalt, you might really dig it!

Thanks! I stay on the road or run on tracks. My knees are notoriously weak and I’m still working on strengthening them before I try any trail running. There is a 10k trail run/obstacle course near me next month that I might just have to try haha
right on. So glad to hear you’ve found a sport to keep you motivated and entertained when the snow isn’t flying. It’ll almost certainly make you stronger for ski season too.
If you ever have questions, feel free to reach out. I’m on bikes more than I’m in my running shoes these days but always happy to share experiences and advice.

Idk how people run over 5 miles TBH. I guess when I was 150 lbs it was a lot easier than 205.

Hung my old retired skis from the ceiling. Missing a pair of invaders and there are two more pairs of shredditors that will be added after next season most likely. Was dumb and mounted the first two one direction and then hit the fully symmetrical invaders and the mounted the remaining opposite.
TOAST.
