I’m okay with the characteristics of the honey badgers, but after 3 days getting warmed up for the year in the park (simple shit) the topsheet is chipped and scratched like I’ve ridden them for years. Should have spent the extra money for ON3Ps
so why am I still seeing threads about who whack Line skis are? This has been a long term ongoing thing. Not just a 1-2 year issue.
CatdickBojanglesNo but assuming line doesn’t test their skis and they are all shit is a pretty stupid assumption. You should’ve been around in ‘08-‘09 when the Salomon Suspects and Dumonts were exploding like an Iranian general.
Edge armor was not properly tested and sounded great on paper. On snow was a totally different story. Bases literally exploding.
patskis22OP, did u detune ur edges before riding? sharp edges = top sheet damage
valid point but you’re still going to have sharp edge below and above bindings along the ski. Unless you’re a total retard and detune the full length of the ski
MXmxTrue, you have a good point about 08-09 Salomons.

Probably bc line skis aren’t as tough as some other skis !
-but they are less expensive . I don’t think there’s another brand out there offering an entry level cost ski like the honey badger ?
-it’s usually blends and badgers that these posts are of (park skis) , haven’t read any threads saying the edges, or bases or top sheets are shit on a pescado or bacons or outlines , it’s always the entry level badger or park ski like blend and I bet those get damaged bc people to pre or MAINTAIN their park skis!!!!
LOLZfajitas
These were my line tc’s only one season old, this happened right at the beginning of the new season, got on3p Kartels after and I’ve had those a solid 4 seasons now
How did you manage to make a ski a look like this - I have yet to fully snap a ski or delaminate one after 14 years of park skiing
I've owned two pairs of invaders (yellow and pink) and a pair of anthems (purple) with a total of probably at least 350-400 days across them of heavy rail riding. They are all missing s small chunk of edge underfoot and some missing edge in the very tip and tail they are all very rideable I just don't enjoy noodles anymore. Can't speak of newer line skis, but those old invaders and anthems are tanks. My ON3Ps probably had 120 days and they are no longer ride able, one ski rotted out and snapped. That being said I would still buy the ON3Ps over the lines because they are more fun IMO.
I skied park for a whole damn season on my honey badgers and they have Z E R O edge cracks. Yes the topsheet sucks ass but they cost like 350$ so you can't expect much.
lines are just weak. on my second pair of chronics in two years, got mine warrantied end of last season, then 2nd day this season tips started peeling... bad construction, fun ski though

I had the same issues with my sir francis bacon shortys. they were very chipped after the first few days, but they havent gotten worse since.
Yeah i mean i got a pair of line chronics two aus seasons ago like mid season and i loved them except i completely destroyed the topsheet. i also delaminated the tip of one of them, and ended up breaking them in less than a year after getting them. someone i know also had problems with his ski delamenating. theyre good skis and great fun, just not the most durable.
the honey badger is like a 300 dollar ski what did you think was gonna happen you buy that ski so you can destroy it without worrying. I have a pair that I use for urban and they have held up fine.
Gonna be honest here: if you buy Lines expect them to chip. Line likes to use cap and cap-wall construction to keep cost and weight down but that means you will get chipping. Something like an ON3P with a full sidewall won’t chip as easy, but it will cost you 2X what a Honey Badger would. When you’re skiing park just expect and accept chipping. IT WILL HAPPEN. Beyond that all of my Line skis have been a dream. My last pair of SFB lasted 4 years, 2 being hard park years. They we pretty much skinned all the way around but still skied like champs and stayed in 1 piece. Only reason I moved on was bc they were boring and short. I don’t care about the chipping, tbh I think it looks cool
BdoobzImagine slandering a companies entry level ski for getting damaged during park use.
The honey badger isn't an entry level park ski, it may be slightly geared more towards less aggressive riding, but if he's telling the truth, the ski shouldn't delam this early.
I have a pair of 2014. Mr Pollard's opus. And fuck they are fun and seem pretty sturdy.
But I have blown the tip apart on some lines back in 06 over shot a jump and slapped them down and Kaboom the shovel was flayed open like a deboned chicken.

The honey badger is an entry level park ski idk where you get your info from.
I got sir Francis bacons when I was 11 and destroyed them just doing normal skiing. Top sheet was basically gone around the whole edge on the tips and tails and got quite a few edge cracks, have not and will not buy lines again.

They were shorty’s which don’t have a sidewall and have worse edges. A proper line ski would not have those problems
It’s a $300 ski it’s def entry level , there is nothing more entry level

Just cause Khai endorses them it doesn’t mean they are his pro model or not an entry level ski. He gets paid to endorse them. Also if you look close most of his Honey Badgers have sidewalls so it’s a different ski with that graphic. It’s called marketing.
Haha I love this conspiracy. But nope, I ride the same skis that are available to the public.

This thread is a perfect example of why ski manufacturers force gaper pieces of shit to go through shops they purchased their gear from. They hope the shops will stop 99% of these BS warranty claims so it doesn't waste their time. You could have taken 3 minutes to google this to see if this was a legit issue or just jerry fucking bullshit. To the original poster, you're a piece of shit. Think for 5 minutes before blaming the entire ski industry for your shitty choices.
You should have a brown name all caps to signify what a miserable angry turd you are

lol I apologized I was just upset. Now I know why it took me so long to make an account instead of just looking at threads for years. Y’all are some fucking dicks

Yeah skierman is like that scraggly cat at your moms house. It’s been there since the dawn of time, it won’t die, it still shits and pisses everywhere, and every time you try to pet it it attacks the shit out of you for no reason.

Lol then k2 bought em in 06 and started making them in China. When jlev was still heavily involved they were held to higher standards. I have also apologized for this thread being so negative, these were the first park skis I bought (did a lease program from a shop in columbus) and I wasn’t expecting them to get chipped so quickly. I now have a few edge cracks underfoot so the poor quality has moved past cosmetics. Def going for a ski with a sidewall construct like ON3P for my next set when these get unusable from delam or something
Dan-ManThis thread is garbage.
LINE SKIS are bombproof.
I've skied a pair of CHRONICS for over a decade, and still use them regularly for street, same with some ANTHEMS I've had.

Expect any park ski to have edge cracks within 20 days. In my experience it's all luck how long you can make it without edge cracks if your sliding rails consistently.

Getting ON3Ps with a sidewall will not stop edge cracks from happening. If you ski park, you will get edge cracks. In fact Line and ON3P use very similar edge sizes (ON3P 2.5mm x 2.5mm, Line 2.2mm x 2.5mm). That speed at which this happens is purely luck assuming you regularly hit rails. If you want to repair edge cracks DM me and I can give you some pointers
Sorry should have been more clear, ON3P sidewall for topsheet chipping

I am interested in hearing you further explain? who's cores do they use?
The dont use cores actually, They just stack topsheets on topsheets on topsheets on edges. That way, when they chip you actually have another pizza or unicorn graphic showing.
Having never skied Jskis, I cant tell if you are being ironic or actually not capping
