I can tell that the guy I've been seeing is starting to ghost me and it's just like uuuugggghhhh! Dang, I was pretty dang stoked on him. At what point do I just fully give up on men?

There’s definitely a too soon and a too late but if you are like me you usually cross over the line before you know it and get stuck there. So not that I’d ever take my own advice but like probably a split second before you think it’s time because at that point it’s probably already time.
I want to SCREAM about men (boys) who think Planned Parenthood shouldn’t get any funding. I want to SCREAM about the number of women and those in the LGBTQ community who are shamed, silenced, and denied healthcare. I want to SCREAM about how this is even politics. I want to SCREAM and cry and I’m fuming.
Moved to MT a few months ago- looks like Beartooth Basin opens next weekend and super excited. I’m looking for any info on campsites in the area.. looks like there are many — anyone have deets?
Dating in SoCal is literally a nightmare, my god. It's like pulling teeth. I might just flip the switch and go gay at this point, men are too hard to handle hahaha
Not working = all nighters. I literally would burn off so much energy at work I’d be exhausted. Now I’m a home body and literally have pulled 2 all nighters this week, I’d assume from not getting tired enough to sleep. I didn’t even eat dinner like I’m super not tired at all. I guess that means I need to get out of the house and make myself tired lol
Tired of getting stares from men. No makeup, t-shirt and gym shorts.... I’m tired of feeling their eyes watch me as I walk into places, knowing exactly where their eyes are going. I’m tired of being sexualized. Can I not go to work and just do my job without worrying about what sexist comment someone will say? I’m tired of women in my workplace being sexually harassed by the same people, and nothing being done about it except a slap on the hand if that.
I really hope ski season happens this year. As a result of this extended mountain bike season I'm now sending way harder than I should be considering dirt and rocks are not as soft a landing as snow.
I can't stop staring at my new park skis that I just got mounted last week, they look so pretty. Still waiting on my new ski boots to get back from the shop though. I hate getting new boots dialed in, it's such a process to get all the bootwork I need done, but my old boots were 5 years old and had at least 500 ski days on them and I was starting to worry about their integrity.
Anyone here have any opinions on cross training at woodward type places? I've been working on spins into the airbag on some small wheeled aggressive inline skates but I'm wondering if it's better or worse to use those rollerski things they have. It just looks really cumbersome to have to climb out of the airbag with those and then deal with clipping in and clipping out of the bindings. I'm also wondering if it would be better to use rollerblades with a longer frame and or bigger wheels for better stability at speed? It gets kind of sketchy going fast on the tiny wheels, but it could just be because I suck.

nmwninjart@Cyanicenine I love the wood grain on the one ski!
Me too! I would have bought them no matter what they looked like because they are my favorite park ski, but after riding these ugly graphics: https://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/atomic-punx-2015 for the past many seasons it's really nice to have some skis that I actually like the look of.

hey hi I got a sick new job with a sweet company, I'm in a new relationship, I'm the healthiest I've ever been, and I love where I live. so, like, things are good!
thought I'd share because this past year was the lowest I've ever been. I worked hard to find myself again and start a life in a new place. for those of you who may be going through something similar, it's okay to be a little selfish. work hard. do what's good for YOU, you don't always have to think of everybody else.

Watching the Logan Imlach Hey Stevie, video and tearing up every time I hit the play buttom. Skiing isn't a huge part of my life anymore but goddamn watching that really strikes a chord with me. Really warms my heart to see how athletes I looked up to as a kid are finding their way in the world and developing new relationships with the things they love. It's awesome to think that athletes who dedicated their careers to filming have years and years of glorified home movies to share with their families and loved ones. We all have cell phone cameras and extensive digital footprints nowadays but these folks have a special kind of scrapbook of memories from their young adult years.
I love psych nursing and I’m going to ask my psych clinical instructor next week if she would be willing to write me a letter of recommendation for the early assurance doctorate of nursing practice - mental health, psychiatric concentration program. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Finally got to go skiing today, first day of the season. The conditions were crap, there were at least two melt refreeze cycles that happened since the last fresh snow, and the groomers were clearly struggling to penetrate the ice and instead left death cookie piles everywhere. So much carnage on that first lap down as people quickly realized how shithouse the conditions were, lots of double ejects, plenty of snowboarders deciding to take off their snowboards and walk. I was glad to be skiing but the conditions combined with only about 50% mask compliance in the lift lines meant I left pretty early.
My now husband I met hiking trails preseason at abay in 2008. He taught me how to ski. I stalked him on NS and remember learning about Ian Compton, Tom Wallisch, and skiing because of him and NS. We dated for 4 years, broke up for 4 years, and serendipitously got back together when we were both working a ski sale. We've been together 4 years now, he proposed in May on a ski tour just the two of us, awesome spring day skiing. Got married in our kitchen. I get to live and spend my life with my best friend and adventure buddy every day. Our lives revolve around biking, skiing, and skateboarding, we have a ski and bike shop in our garage. We still hike rails and take bc trips to ak. Love of my life.
Thanks, NS :)

Well that was short lived. Talking a ton for 3 days straight then he straight up, after I told him that we needed to take it slow(which I had already done a ton), says Bye. No explanation, not anything, I was really confused so I tried to call him and he didn’t answer, but every text I sent he pretty much just responded with “bye.”
