Sorry Chaunceyskis, I couldn't wait to make the thread.

Post up videos of your favorite pros killing it, pics of some sick spots in your town, or videos of you landing a new trick, ask about tricks, give advice on tricks, discuss/review skates, and discuss the latest news in the world of aggressive skating!

Eventually, we could even use this thread for buying, selling, and trading parts or full skates.



First off, what are your thoughts on the beginning of powerblading? Kizer has just brought the concept into play in the aggressive rollerblading game with their new frames able to hold 4 80mm wheels while still allowing soul and negative plate grinds. Check the fourth and fifth edit for some powerblading shots.

if u want comfort im thinking go with the dres but stabilty and last probably the g9's or aragons

out of those choices i would go with the dres or aragons. i have skated/tried out every boot listed and the razors sl model is very good all around. valos=a little chunky/heavy unless you do the right modifications, and they also have raised heels which are stupid because once a shock absorber is added... you are then wearing high heels. i just got a pair of xsjados once ski season had ended here in minnesota. so far they are the best skates ive skated. SUPER comfy and probably the most precise fitting skate ive had. Souls are huge, but the only downside i can say is that you have to get used to the side flex(im used to super supportive skates.)

no, but i tried to fakie tru top acid on a box and somehow ended up under it. first time skating for a few months cause i was at school, and i end up under a box. my back hurt all day. that was a few days ago though. I freakin missed I guess, or i might have caught the underside on the way up and got forced under. ugh.

start backwards, spin lip (true in skating = lip in skiing), grind acid on top of the box coping.

mhmm. theres only a few modifiers to basic grinds but putting them together makes things exponentially harder.

It's not that big of a deal but I have only gone skating with someone else once. I was thinking about how cool it would be to film then I slowly realize that I don't have any inline friends lol

^ frames could be scraping while bending ankle far while pushing, souls could be doing the same thing, wheel hardness could not be grippy........i used to do the same thing, and all my friends(new to rollerblading) always complain about it.

you have to stay on top of your skates more then you think...the plastic part of your skate is what is slipping out...

well, if your frame hits the ground cause your wheels are too small that'll do it. or if when you're pushing, you bend your ankles way to much and let your frame hit the ground that'll do it too. that or you're on a slippery surface.

goes to all, everyone on here says it with skiing, it goes for skating as well: learn to skate, as a rollerblader, not a skier. Being able to skate and having those things as a second pair of feet will make you way better. i recently played roller hockey a few times with kids who actually play hockey, i never did, but I can skate as well as if not better than all of them. probably better, i feel like i have some sort of extra awareness from doing tricks. i played in my carbons too.

i mean, look at sean kelso, looks like he popped out the womb with skates on. he's certainly capable of more than handrails a couple feet in length, but let him bombard you with fancy footwork. this whole edit should be in slowmo so you can see if you can't already tell.

i've got the g7.4
the g9 are the exact same skate but a new colorway and they do look super sick and i believe you should get them
