J.D.STI sport, minus tech? Looks damned good in that exterior colour.
No got the limited actually, wifey wanted the leather ha. just couldn't find a good picture. With a couple add on's as well like short throw and all weather mats and auto dim mirror
best lineup to date, man. these things will be a seriously fun ski to tour on and to ski inbounds, too. time to decide between tech inserts or adrenalins/guardians.

.MASSHOLE.+1 for tech. See if you can score some beasts on B/S/T over at TGR
i might have too. but at the same time, i might go with something to be compatible with my RX130's till i can save up enough for AT boots (ideally the RT 130s, same boot except its for touring). but dont want to compromise weight and drill holes as well so we will see. either way, the touring missions begin this year and im hyped. ordered some books off of amazon and just convinced my parents to help me out with paying for a Level 1 class this winter as an early Bday gift. i love chair laps no doubt but being this close to some of the countrys best touring will make this place even better.
God damn I love 370's, probably my favorite Nissan that the US was given. Please post updates on it in the "ns lets see your whips" thread. One question, why is it auto? Just curious

Thanks for asking like you're not a 16 year old pretending to know something about cars, like a few others aboulve... As if manuals are automatically better in every application.
Several reasons. First, I bought it as a collector's item. My goal is ultimately to have an s30 Z, a 10th anniversary 280zx, a 50th anniversary 300zx and a good example of a JDM z32, and this 40th anniversary edition.
In this case, there were only 1000 40th anniversary 370zs made, and because of the culture, many have had aftermarket alterations in addition to the ones that have been destroyed because they're sports cars and people kill them. So I saw this one and jumped on it before they start getting hard to find. This one in particular has some indications that the previous owner babied it and treated it more like something to show off than something to drive hard, so it's very clean.
Second, and related, I did not buy it to be a sports car.
Why not, well, I consider the 370 to be a GT car. It's a great driver's car, corners flat and has consistent torque throughout the band. It never wants for power. But I don't really consider it a sports car; in fact I consider almost no modern car other than the Alfa 4C a "sports car". Even the BRZ triplets are really just a softened, modernized bastardization, fun as they may be (in spite of their ugliness). They're impure. They don't quite feel like the style of driving they claim to represent. Too much is done for you.
Just about every modern production vehicle claiming to be a sports car is really a muscle car, or a modern comfort vehicle trying to pretend to be "sporty". The 370 is sort of in between - basically a cross between a Porsche Cayman and a Mustang, but clearly made by the Japanese. Aside from road noise that makes it a perfect tourer in my world. In my opinion if you're buying a GT it should be an auto trans. If you don't believe me, go drive a mid 1980s 928s in auto for a few hundred km of twisty highway, and learn what a tourer should feel like.
I already do own a sports car - this one:
It has no power steering, a manual trans 2.8 inline 6 and strut bracing everywhere. It corners like it weighs ten pounds and moves like a go kart. That is what a sports car should be.
So, I now own a Z sports car and a Z grand tourer.
Oh, and the auto is also quicker to 60 by .2 seconds and faster in the quarter, if you want a stats-based justification. The manual trans in the 370 is kind of clunky, and the synchro matching is a good example of what I was saying about fake sports car add-ons.

Dang son that 280 is beautiful, my brothers friend has a 280 turbo and even though its kinda in bad shape its still is sweet to see and hear. Unlike most modern teens I do know my shit and dont think every rwd car should made for going sideways. Throughout high school I helped my brother work on his 1992 Eclipse which is now built well for SCCA rally cross, its fwd but its got used gravel coils in the front and I believe adjustable rear struts from a gsx in the back. Also is pretty much covered in skid plates underneath, has custom built front and rear strut braces, full exhaust and short ram intake with heatshields around it, almost fully gutted interior, sparco sprint seat with schroth harness's, and a sparco wheel. Its NA and fwd but he knows how to drive it on the dirt roads near my house, very well.
I agree that the 370 is a great GT car but obviously with all the mod options these days and it can be turned into a great drift, track or drag car, not that any of those really interest me. Its very understandable especially if the older one is manual, you get the fun sports car to rev high and push through corners in, like a Miata for example. Then you have the still very fun but always usable daily.
Havent really been into the car scene lately since Ive just been busy with other stuff but still follow posts in a New England car community FB page "Masstuning" just to see what kids in my area have and stuff. I also just hate the main car scene these days, to much stance and idiots who build their cars for insta likes and "breaking necks." Thats why i mainly motorsports like WRC and Rally America, volunteered at new england forest rally, hit 70 in the crv on dirt roads in middle of nowhere to get to our teams spot to work.
Once I can afford it Ill get into working on my own car, probably will end up being a subaru for my rally passion (prefer Mitsubishi though) and just make it into a rally cross car on the weekends then unless I buy a used log booked car, Ill build it into a stage car.
I was just curious since most car guys think everything needs to have 3 pedals. I have an 01 crv with a shitty 4 speed auto but commuting to class and work involves a ton of traffic. Still hoon it hard on the dirt roads at night with some trail braking and some simple lift off over steer, rallycrossed it at team oneil rally school recently. Its fun to drive a slow car fast. Until then unless I find something good, cheap and fun thats manual to have on the side for a project Ill just save my money, especially after watching my brother deal with his car for the past 4 years.
This is me at team oneil lol, most likely holding it close to the limiter holding it locked in first. That body roll though, so much damn fun that day.
