Drawn From Here is a film by Eric Pollard that opens with an exploration of his processes as a skier, as a ski/product designer, and as an artist. It follows the influences he draws from—like basing the shape of a ski tip off of a surfboard or finding patterns observed in nature to integrate into the graphics he hand draws for a ski—and illuminates a thread that runs through and binds all his different disciplines and hobbies.
About Eric Pollard:
EP is a professional skier, artist, and designer from Welches, Oregon. For 20 of his 36 years he’s been professionally sponsored as a skier, but what defines the whole of his career over that time goes well beyond that one simple fact.

November 2008 was a great month. Super low temps and a ton of precipitation made for light snow at low elevations.
We shot our first ever Nimbus movie at our two local resorts; Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and Mt. Hood Meadows in Oregon. We only skied and shot a few nights, passing the camera back and forth between Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, Justin Wiegand and Ike Smith.
Had a great time slashing, buttering and hitting little lift line airs with enough light to see. Sammy Carlson, Dylan Hood, and Erin Valverde Pollard joined the session.
The Compass series captures a visually stunning full spectrum experience from ski trips to three beautiful countries: Russia, Italy, and Japan. The contrasting culture, mountain shape, terrain, snow quality, food, language, music, pace of life and architecture all play into what it feels like to ski and travel abroad. RAW is web based series new to Nimbus for 2014. We will release footage every other week all season long as we work toward our final two year project; "After The Sky Falls". We hope that the RAW series will allow viewers to follow us more closely, and keep tabs on our travels and skiing.
Our second RAW movie clip is now live. You can now expect us to release 1 each week for the rest of the winter and spring seasons.
