Long story short: Had a super busy season doing all the comps including the Dew tour, X-Games, Olympics....got tired of going from place to another doing the same tricks on almost identical courses everywhere: couple of rails + jump line. The courses really need to change,(add corners, quarter pipes,smaller jumps etc), it's the main reason why most comps are so boring to watch already. Decided to take a break from competitions for the rest of the season and focus on shredding for myself, learning new tricks and filming. Took some days to film this quick edit and after that I've been doing some filming for Neli Pictures' new videoproject dropping this summer/fall. Stay tuned, it will be something goooood. Night laps, sidehits, powder and spring slush, from the dark nights of Northern Finland to the snowy and sunny Alps in the winter of 2022. Dusk is a skiing shortfilm created by Antti Ollila and Joonas Mattila, also featuring Joona Kangas and Pontus Penttilä.
I just wanted to make a film that showcases the way I like to ski , the tricks I enjoy and and features that are fun to me, what feels good. Hopefully this film makes you want to get out there and ride the mountain, hill or whatever you got, the way you like it.
