When the trolls determined to commit to memory the progression of the Midwest freestyle/park ski scene at Troll, we began our search for a human who's personality was as bright, bizarre, and brazen as our own to document the goings on. Having gotten to know Troll local Nick Schoess/Milk Mayhem/Butterlicious/@kendozersbrother over the last few seasons, the search lasted about 0.7 seconds.
In our first installment of the new Trollhaugen series 'Human Being', we focus glass on a cast of humans slated to create digital memories all season long. Like the canvas of their endless 17/18 Winter season, the Troll and Midwest locals persist. April is here, and so are we, with hammer park days and a rail wizardry made manifest through an extra month on snow. Personally, I've been pretty hyped watching the Human Being series continue to grow and evolve. This final installment has the fire and passion of the first. The stoke has not waned. These humans persist.

Darrell was an inspiration to many. May he rest in peace. He skied at 94 and had a major stroke that evening while taking care of his daughter that is suffering from brain cancer. The story is sad, yet so loving. Maybe he just could not stand to see hid daughter leave before him. Who knows. All we know is he was much loved by many, and skied until his end.

For the final episode of Season 10, Will, Andy, LJ and Khai got back to their roots: building sketchy features in the snow. Joined by Dale Talkington, Joey Van Der Meer, The Illusive Joe Joe, and others, LTC got to work hitting sketchy features in the trees behind Andy's House in Mt. Hood.
Oh! and the Van got new tires.
Bachelor Parks Real Lap guy is here. Dillon-Be Smooth pulled out a Go-Pro to capture a bit of me doing my thing at Mt. Bachelor. There were two more clips with a few "proper" jumps, but the files did not work so maybe next time for the jumps!

We think some ski movies are becoming a little copy paste, and not proving to be as fun as we want them to be. This is our offering, our take on how ski movies should be. Funny, fun, and a little less serious than what else is out there. We produced, and premiered this movie entirely on our own dime, and it's been a blast. If we can do it, why can't you?! If you don't know where to start, in the words of the great Shane McConkey, "Get out there, and jump off something for crying out loud!"

So, I am 28 years old now, a husband, and dad of 2. There has been a lot that has changed in my life the past few years but my passion for skiing has remained the same. This fall, I came up with the idea to put together a short "webseries" to continue to share my passion as a skier and now a Dad... well at least try too. My son is 15 months old and I hope to share the passion of skiing with him in the future. I made him his first pair of skis this fall, completely custom, even the bindings. Between the unpredictability of life as a parent and weather of the East Coast, it will be a challenge. Here is episode number one, of hopefully three, of "Laps With Dad" for the 18/19 ski season.
