first off, this is a snow shovel not poles. sorry their is no section for poles.

        now into the review,
i have owned one of these shovels for over a year now and have probably used it everyday of the winter. it is small, compact, and fairly light. the arm of the shovel can slide down and is locked in place by a strong pin. it is extremely durable. i have slammed it into concrete and ice more than once and yet it still holds up. although there might be some dents and scratched in the paint, it is still fully functional. it is easy to attach it to you backpack because of the conveniently placed holes. the shovel curves at the side to help hold the snow in.
Black Diamond is a very reliable company that is known for making very high quality gear. this product is the epitome of black diamond equipment: high quality for high demand. i would recommend this to someone that is looking for a strong, reliable, and robust shovel that may not be to big but can certainly get the job done with ease. it cost $75 on BD's website.
