Coming from a heavy, lined, and overall moderate pant last season, Saga has stepped up their game on the Monarch 3L pant this year. Massive props guys!

This pant finally fits and feels like a proper tech shell pant. They've gotten rid of the medium weight fleece lining on the thighs, and replaced it with micro fleece (very lightweight) lining throughout the whole pant. Keep in mind to wear a base layer underneath, the micro-lining can cause some chaffing of the thighs on tours and hikes.

The shell itself has also improved, more of a durable, silky feel to it, also making the pant itself lighter in weight.
Clean fit, not too baggy, not too slim, just nice and fitted. I am 6'3", 180lbs, and wearing a Large, the pant fits just how I'd want it to.

As far as features go, the pant has deep front pockets with a nice little flap to keep them protected. As well as a knee pocket with a nice durable zipper. As well as a mesh crotch vent.

Overall very happy with the improvements over the 13/14 model. Thank you Saga.
I have worn this pant through some bitch-ass cold, windy tours (-40 with windchill), and it has proved itself to be the best pant.
