This is just an initial review of the ski. They are on the pow side of all mountain skis with a pretty sick topsheet. There has been some debate over Surface's durability, but for my use, all mtn and pow, I suspect they will hold up fine. I expect the extruded bases to be durable. They are a little heavy due to their size (189) and extruded bases. Surface is very cool and makes solid contributions on NS. They are quite stiff when hand flexed, the 179 is softer than the 189. They have crazy rocker and will get some funny looks on the lift line, and have some camber underfoot with a short running length.

I will post a real review when I get to let these bad boys rip.
