        Overall

Overall, buy it. You need to. This movie is still super sick even today. Possibly Berman's best movie. It always gets me stoked to go skiing. Read above for more info.

        Value

Def. buy this movie. An essential for any ski movie library. Worth the money, especially cause it's old and cheap. Level 1 six pack is also a great deal.

        Quality

It's a great movie. Still great to watch today, 5 years later.

        Forward

Forward is one of my favorite ski movies. It does share a lot of footage with Ready Fire Aim, but it is such a good ski movie. The intro is very explosive, and one of the better intros I have seen. Of course Crichton has the best segment of the movie, and possibly of all time. He slays almost every rail on the east coast in 3 days, gets hurt, then from April on, destroys a huge jump in the PBP aspen jib fest, destroys the up gap flat gap down rails and the wallride there. Also see Crichton hit some more nasty rails, especially a huge quad kink in Newfoundland. Steele has a good segment, but his style is still the same safety/boot grab, but it doesn’t bother me. He hits some great tech urban rails, and steele, travis redd, jr martinez, and scott havens hit a down rail inside a school. Liam Downey’s segment shows more great urban rails. Pete Olenick’s segment is more good park footage, urban, and backcountry jumps from Silverton. Emil Coty has a good segment with more urban rails and unique jibs. Phil Belanger’s and Larose’s split segment is great showing both’s great style. Derek Finn also hits some great urban rails including a small but sick steep curve kink curve rail. The friends segment shows almost all the good shots of every other movie. It shows almost everybody. Hibbert has an all crash segment that is rather hilarious. Simon Dumont ends the movie with a great segment(better than Ready fire Aim). Forward is possibly THE BEST movie ever for urban...of that time period.

        Editing 9.5
        Music 9.5
        Urban 10
        Big Mountain 2
        Overall Skiing 8.5
        Overall 9

+Best urban, Incredible segment by Crichton, great bonuses(skis invisbaal, Newfoundland, and freedle’s movie) Rails inside of schools...
-shared footage with ready fire aim in dumont’s, steele’s, and crichton’s segments. Naming tanner hall and other’s that were in the friend’s segment as being in the movie(They are in the movie, but it gives the impression that they have longer segments).

Keep in mind, my little ratings system is adjusted for the year it was made. So dont compare a rating 7 from the 1999-2000 ski movies to the 2007-2008 ski movies
