Snowy Halloween LAKE EFFECT DO WORK THIS WEEK

Latest models are now showing moderate snow for Montana Sunday Night/Monday with a further Western Track into Eastern Idaho, Northwest corner of Wyoming, and Utah.  The low pressure system may set up over central Nevada by Monday and will likely bring decent snowfall to the Ruby Mountains.  Some snowfall will reach as far west as the Eastern Sierra (2-5). The models are still not consistent on exact  path into Utah and Colorado (Southern areas favored initially).   Winds will be Southerly which might favor, Sundance, Park City and the Uinta Mountains (6-10) versus the Cottonwoods. The Cottonwoods will still see appreciable amounts at upper elevations esepecially near Brighton.  The Tetons are still a wildcard and my confidence for heavier snow is primarily for the Western side of Teton Pass towards Targhee extending into Idaho.
