Pivot break sizes

can one size of brakes be switched out on pivots? if so how much would it cost to do that/ do shops just do that anyways when you get your skis mounted? also what is the threshold for these sizes, I.E if I had skis that were 98 underfoot, would I have to jump to the 115 breaks or can I squeeze into 95s. might seem like a stupid question.

if you're +/- 5mm or so, you'll be fine in terms of width. try to buy the binding with the correct size brake on there already. if the shop has to order a different size, they'll have to charge you for them (unless they're super generous and will take the stop brake in exchange) and they're not cheap

95’s will be absolutely fine on a 98. Here’s a 95 on a 99 ski. When swapping brakes on. Pivots you change the whole base. Super easy process but ideally should be done prior to mounting as the base will need to be removed if you’ve already had them mounted.
