Just curious to see what's popular these days. Can't get a good look when I'm at the mountain since everyone's pants are so baggy.

AfroSkierBeen riding the Roxa element 120 for about 6 seasons now. Been through 2 pairs. Wicked boot and last forever. Extremely good customer service if you ever do have a parts break ie buckles. They’ve sent me anything I’ve requested with no questions asked. They won’t let you down


That’s really cool, our Elan rep pushes them. I might try the element. What volume foot do u got?

bennwithtwonsI’m incredibly fussy about my boots, hence the same pair for more than a decade. That being said, I’m seriously considering finally upgrading to some modern GW boots. Gotta get with the time (plus, cat tracks are annoying as hell)


If you've been happy with your KR Pros, find a newer Krypton or a Lupo Pro HD. They'll have CripWalk soles.

was in an rs 130 and liked it, needed smaller and narrower, always easier to make a boot softer than to make it stiffer

touring in a mind bender 110 lv 24.5
don’t love it but it was so cheap like 2 years ago

i have some fischer ranger 29.5 that my buddy gave me for my first touring boot. they were too small and i have since upgraded. will give for free to someone under the condition that they give them away for free once they no longer need them. dm me!

I have FullTilt B&E in size 26,5. Quite many spare parts changed, but the real mods are:

- little more room for the pinky toes in the shell
- new 120 flex tongues from sammy c boots
- Booster straps
- cheap ass footbeds for that arch support from local sports equipment store
- longer upper cables for my thick ass calves

Salomon S/Pro Alpha 130 for resort and Salomon Shift Alpha Boa 130 holds my tiny heel in place and with blowing out the toe box is a money fit for me

Skied a raptor wc and loved the heft, provided a very muted snow feel and made flat landings feel like nothing. Forward lean was too much though. Isn't it adjustable on the cs?
ChunderfaceIts been hard for me to adjust to. I was trying to run the Intuition Powerwrap and it wasn't working out. I just got the Prowrap but havent skied them yet with it. They are WAY more substantial and heavy than the Hawx. The forward lean is noticeable in comparison, too.

Currently three pretty different boots.

Resort is the Cortex 140 with a sidas PU race liner.

Park is the Revolve TW with the stock intuition wrap.

For touring I currently switch between a Mindbender 130 boa with a sidas pu classic and the dispatch Pro with the stock boa liner.

deacwhere did you get the rubber boot board?


they were on my 1st gen full tilt seth morrisons and these are now the 4th pair of boots i’ve had them in. some of the people i know have been arguing against the rubber cause you loose some force without a hard plastic but i rather take the little absorbing the rubber gives

First chair 10s(the white ones) and hawx ultra xtd (current gen) both in 26.5 and both punched for a tiny bit of pinky toe room. Superfeet in the FTs, sidas in the atomics forgot which exact insoles. Cracked the back shell of the FTs, broke the tongue mount, and a cable so they’re a little frankensteined at the moment

i got a pair of the k2 revolvers in 29.5 in the middle of last season. quite different than my old Solomans. still getting used to them. the angle at which my ancle leans is a lot steeper which I love. helps me keep on my shins, also makes me more comfortable on rails, because my knees are bent more.

Yeah nut you can't adjust them lower than 16 (you can have them at either 16 or 18). My Hawx are at 15 I believe and they feel perfect. One degree doesn't seem like much but you definitely feel it.

ROXA ELEMENT 120. Wrap Liner molded w toe caps for a performance fit that's still comfy asf.

Favorite boot ever. Perfect flex and Heel hold. Roxa to the world!

Fascinating to me how prevalent two piece/overlap boots still are in the free ski world. I'm a three piece/cabrio believer.

Some good ol sidas, just did a liner mold and beds and got super lucky not having to punch anything out with a LV

before that I rode ft descendants like the widest last it was so bad lmao

Nah, they are just the stock liners 🤷‍♀️
Boots didn't come with booster straps, just those very hard plastic/fake leather ones that look cool but don't do anything.
These are 4 or five seasons old tho, maybe they have changed to proper booster staps out of the box

Tour setup:
Dalbello lupo ax 115, size 24.5
swapped the standard liner for intuition tour wrap. Sidas custom footbeds

removed the bottom buckle as always

Took off the stock tongue and installed a larger 26/27 size, C-flex non-removable (never used that feature anyway) tongue for a bit more coverage up the shin and better leverage

Removed the stock power strap and added an intuition wrap strap (the kind that you can pull from both directions, so sick) and a 2-layer booster on top

Saloman SPK 2014 with the rubber toe :)
They fit me perfectly because the front of my foots are wide.

I've been rocking a pair of Firebird R 140s for a couple years now. Threw in Zipfit Corsa, a Sidas custom footbed, and a booster. It’s become a serious boot, and it took me quite a while to get it dialed in. Even then, it is still a bit too much boot for those freezing days at Tremblant. Probably switching to an RS 130 or a Shadow 140 with a gara lv

Pretty sweet boot comes with a zipfit liner and tech inserts in the toe.
I added custom footbeds and some cork in the heel of the zipfit

boot fits great

Totally 100% biased :)

But out of all the K2 boots this is what I end up using each year. It's kinda just a good balance of everything. Pretty comfy for me out of the box without any work or anything, just footbeds. I ran FTs for years but since I started working here i've been pretty strict to the Mindbender which surprises me because I'm usually a fan of a 3piece design instead of the traditional 2 piece.

When did evo stop carrying them? I was there last season and they had most of them in stock. They had most of the atomics. I tried on the redsters cs130. Also tried on the rc4 pro boa there as well.

It depends on what last you measure, I measure around a 94-95 last, so that is really the reason i went to a 25.5. This boot would be a 98mm last in a 26.5, but it’s 96mm in the 25.5 and wraps my foot much better. I wouldn’t size down if you don’t NEED to, the more you size down, typically, the more work to make it tolerable to ski in all day. That being said try a 25.5 and see if you think you could be in it all day, consult with your bootfitter, etc.

I'd never use a different liner again - nothing but praise for the Zip fits. I had 10 years of painful boots and tried everything, but only now with the zip liners do I feel like I have the perfect and confortable fit every time I put my boots on.

I can't justify Gara tour liners in my atomics just yet, as the Mimic liner is good enough, but as soon as it packs out I'm heading straight to my zipfit dealer to get them.

Btw do i get only smartwool zero cushion ski socks, zero cush is better than cush right?

👀 Where did you get the longer top cable? I have the same problem with my TWPs. Found this on K2s site:

They are from my previous boots, FT Booters. My local ski shop has pretty much every possible size as spare parts, so I recommend calling some stores

Too many boots… I wear a 9.5 nike sb skate shoe most of the time. my go to are the rangers

fischer ranger 110 mv 26.5 daily driver:
-intuition tour wrap (swap in pro wrap in bounds)
-boosters
-custom molded sidas footbed
-custom silicone boot board

scarpa f1 27.5 long tours:
-stock intuition, stock everything
- nice comfy super light lv boot for foot access

scott orbit 26.5 sled touring:
- pro wrap with a diamond cut out in the back for ease of walking.
- just wanted something cheap with a vibram sole that can get chewed up on running boards when I’m doing sled access tours. I think I paid $150 for them on gearx

FT drop kicks 27.5 park/night ski/the one time I hiked a stair set:
-booster straps
-drscholls under the liners

arcteryx procline 310bsl skimo boot:
- lite liner
-haven’t really used them all that much. 8 times. Generally pick these up when I have some technical scrambles or glacier walks to do with skis on my back. They interface with crampons really really well and the mobility is next to none.

arcteryx acrux ar 310bsl climbing boots:
-not a ski boot but felt like sharing
