Politics has gotten far worse since social media. before people would only discuss politics in person and people would listen, discuss, agree or disagree and move on.
Your identity isnt who you voted for in one election. unfortunately lots of people make this their identity, then they get fucking crushed when they lose and act childish (or win and act childish)
It makes sense people are upset about trump, hes a huge piece of shit with a rap sheet longer than most, he doesnt deserve to be president. but our country failed to produce a good candidate, or chose to not produce a better candidate, who knows.
But that doesnt make his bad shit go away, trump forever will be racist, sexist and selfish. He will spend the next 4 years proving this even more. But we do have to move on.

At least 30% of eligible voters don't even vote, so it is more like 1/3 of the country voted for Trump.

Yes. This unironically. The right to an abortion was never explicitly defined in the constitution. The roe v wade ruling was based on a loose interpretation of the 14th amendment by some liberal judges in the 70s. We had over 50 years to codify rules for abortion in US federal law but instead did nothing, had no restrictions on it, and made Christians pay for late term abortions with their tax dollars. Here’s an idea for liberals. Don’t make a large potion of the population pay for something that they find morally reprehensible and you won’t have an issue!

I am not a fan of trump political/economical ideas but for the most part i can see how many people are.
What I do not understand is how you can vote for some who has been accused of rape, kissing, and groping without consent; looking under women's skirts; and walking in on naked teenage pageant contestants. some of witch he's admitted to. and i Know there are just allegations but that isn't a risk I'm willing to take. I feel like not wanting a predator in office should come before not wanting the democrats to win.
Also side note if we want to talk about whos brain washed: studies repeatedly show that when Americans are asked about their opinions on political, economical and social issues without mentioning political parties/figures the most common opinions align more with the democrat's polices then the republican by a large margin. In short a lot of people are voting republican but their personal pollical view alight more with the democrats views.

I really can't deal with this amount of not only economic ignorance, but also political ignorance.
There's no debating that the majority of inflation was due to factors unrelated to the stimulus checks. Every piece of research supports this claim.
Second, because inflation was not solely unique to the United States, it's impossible to say "it's the Democrats fault" or "it's the GOP's fault". Global supply lines suffered. You could have kept the entire US open and it would not have changed the fact that the rest of the world shut down and would have had the same end result.
Now, let's get to the whole stimulus check responsibility aspect.
The first stimulus checks were done under Trump. Hard stop.
The second were done under Biden. Hard stop.
I'm curious as to how it's the fault of the Democrats that there was no due diligence or fraud investigations when both parties used the exact same methodology to disburse the checks.
