The afd in my 2016 griffons came off. Good news is that a local shop gave me a toe piece to an old marker griffon, only thing is I have no idea how to take the afd off the old toe piece and put it on my griffons with the missing afd. Anyone know how?
I had an old griffon toe lying around so here we go.
Get a small flat head screwdriver and carefully prise off the metal plate being careful not to break off the tabs at the side which hold it on. then you can see the spring insert window. Push the afd right until you can see the left end of the spring in the window. Then carefully use the screwdriver to manoeuvre the spring out the window.
The AFD will slide off after that.
Do the reverse of the process to put the AFD back on.
Other recent ones that come to mind right now are “how to save the AFD adjustment of a stripped nut housing on a marker frame binding”, “how to replace the forward pressure spring of a look SPX” and “mounting a duke PT with only a kingpin and griffon jig”
