I am thinking about settling my dins to 8 or 9 for park.
ILoveskiing07I have I am just not sure dumbass that’s y I am asking here. I have a general idea of what din i should go with but I want to ask actual people so I don’t fuck up.
Mackaroni_spaceHoly fuck chill. Anyway I’d recommend setting them to 4, that’s where mine are at and I’m 130 and 5’8
teabagPeople are being toxic for no reason, again. Like someone said already 5-6 is a good range I think.
ILoveskiing07I know I don’t understand NEWSCHOOLERS sometimes IK its kinda of a dumb question but don’t be an asshole about it
Mackaroni_spaceDon’t be an asshat to begin with like the fuck?

HomerPimpinhe was being an ass to begin with, what do you mean๐
teabagYeah cus people downvoted his thread before this one for no reason and then this thread started getting downvotes even before any comments.
And the dude he called dumbass kinda sounded condescending too in the context that OP had already got downvoted for no reason, ”i’m thinking you should look up some din charts” or whatever he said.
I get it if u thought he was being an ass but imo he wasn’t

ILoveskiing07Hi, I am running Tyrolia attack 14. Yes I know I am 5’4 and 130 pounds I could’ve gone with the tyrolia attack 11 but I wanted my bindings to match my ski. I am thinking about settling my dins to 8 or 9 for park. What do you guys think.
zerospinskierAs someone who just tore their ACL a couple days ago, set it low! Set it low while you still have the chance! For the love of god!

ReturnToMonkeyDIN seems different with different bindings. My Pivots are at 8.5 while my STH2s are at 10 to achieve what feels like the same release point. But I started both at 8 which was my recommended and slowly went up as needed.
Jemsyou fr bro ๐ญ๐ญ??
FaunaSkisThe DIN scale is just a different unit for ultimate release torque. Assuming both bindings are set correctly and working properly, a DIN of 8.5 is the same release torque in the workshop on the release test machine regardless of manufacturer. The DIN standard is tightly and independently controlled, no brand variation allowed.
however out on the hill, other factors come into play, like elastic travel. This is how far the boot can move from the rest position and not release. The pivot is famed for its high elastic travel on the heel and it’s why you and others will be happy to set the DIN lower on pivots compared to other bindings as you get that “suspension” effect before the DIN ultimate release torque comes into play.
If you’re interested, Blister review recently did a panel discussion on alpine bindings.

KevenI am 130 5'8 and I have mine at 8.5 and they pop out when I need them to. Setting it at 4 seems a little bit low.
ColingarnesYours is high his is low. Meet at 5.5-6.5 for best results.
