Just sold my WETS…. Haven’t rly touched them since I got my wide plusses, and I like the wides more tbh. One of my ski hill sons needed a new set and needed to upgrade into Vishnu gang and I gotta make rent so it kinda just worked out perfect
AbarskiCan’t believe I’ll be a midwesterner in a month, someone tell me about this Tyrol basin place
really dope. they try to open early and stay open late. they have a rope, and know how to build a park. hit C lift for some cliffs if they have snow in the trees. check out unaffiliated productions and tyrol tuesdays for clips of their park.
GourdI wonder if pros take sponsorship deals on gear they don’t like/want to ride
I think they do, I remember the Revolt 95 was marketed as a ski that Ahmet "actually wanted to ride" compared to the Wall which was the only Volkl park ski at the time.
Profahoben_212Anybody got any recs on skins? All my g3s have gooped up over their life so interested in trying something else
Save the tip and tail clips if you can. Those things grip better than any other tail clip I've used.

I've heard of skiers riding skis with a different topsheet. Heard rumors that Atomic pros were riding Punx with an Infamous topsheets. This might be bullshit but someone told me Torin was heavily stiffened ARV/7/8's years after the pipe cleaners were discontinued.

matej rides old factions because the newer topsheets are dog right?
The real Skifi guys ride either punx 7 or bent chetlers with punx 5 topsheets. I think it’s because there’s a huge population of tweener park skiers in Finland and it’s a good market to advertise too. Not too expensive so mom and dad will buy the ski for a growing kid.

Also it was a known thing that Line would swap around the topsheets based on what they wanted to advertise. You would see pros riding skis with a Blend topsheet in deep pow, which were obviously Bacons, and LJ rode Stepups that had a sidewall (so they were Chronics).
I also think the company has some influence over what skis the pros ride which is I think the reason why so many Armada athletes rode Bdogs last year even though that ski was barely seen before.
Yeah I think Andy still will ride like a honey Badger topsheet on a chronic sometimes.
And to your second point - same thing happened with faction with the prodigy vs the CT

Are you people gonna start going to bat for resort workers or are you just going to keep fucking up our communities and pricing-us out? Real talk. Once we all get unionized and start shutting mega resorts down due to staffing then you'll get it. Sorry your ski day was ruined lol, We have rent to pay.

Fuck vail homie we stand against corporate shitstains
Goddamn I need to get my B2 outs back. They used to be autopilot until I caught an edge on new skis + plastic tube. Literally threw me hips over head and slammed super hard. Had a mental block since. Found myself looking at this photo to see what I used to do with my feet lol

ReturnToMonkeyUnless you're learning, just don't get the point of hitting a rail if you aren't doing some kinda nollie/butter on
ouch, why you gotta come at me like that. I've been straight sliding the same rails 95% of the time for the past 10 years and I still enjoy it. it's the simple thing in life or something like that.

Mostly joking but like it's not any harder to pop off your tips. Most of the time, it looks way better and is more fun.
Farmville420Nah. Grinding rails with both feet is what’s dumb
Okay snowboarder. Jk one footed slides are sick af. I get a lot of satisfaction out of watching some good footwork on a rail that you cant get from snowboarders tho

I adore my prospect 112s when things are steep and you can open them up. but on low angle/lower speed stuff you really cant drive the tips and you have to do such a balancing act to keep from either tip dive or being a backseat bandit. Centered skiing really isn't my style at all.
I have some sloppy joes I might end up throwing bindings back on. They are much better on low angle and they are twin tipped for fuckaround alpine meadows pow days when only roundhouse is open.
