BradFiAusNzCoCaI think a lot of kids don’t detune their skis nearly enough. To get my skis sliding steel how I want to, it requires a pretty hefty detune. I think a lot of issues people have with park skis stem from this. It can be easy to ignore if a park has smooth rails. Hell, you can ride mailboxes and tubes and not even notice but those thin little rails are the true test.
Some math person help me out - is it to do with surface area? Maybe more pressure on a smaller area when sliding a thinner rail?
I think the larger the circumference means you are able to stay in that sweet spot on the top longer if that makes sense. Like you have more surface area in the sweet spot than a skinny.

It’s literally just because of edge cracks dulling ur edges does nothing to help you from sticking to rails
Farmville4205 pairs never detuned any of them and never stuck on a rail (that other people weren't also sticking on)
@SchizoSkier can vouch for this, I'm telling you dude it's all mental or maybe you grind too heavy on ur feet or something
It’s true the dude ripped an entire day on the rails with Reckoner 112s a few weeks ago. When he took his ski off I felt the edges with my fingernails and they were sharp enough to leave a mark on my nail
but low key I can’t ski that well either unless my entire edge is completely dull
closing day at mrg last week. some trails had more coverage than others lol but im all for it. was fun to ski paradise on closing day! also tried the pond skim. tried.

Damn they really went as long as they could huh? Bet no one is on their social media asking why they didn't stay open longer lol

there was full coverage top to bottom, altho it was thin in some spots. the trail with no grass was 'closed' i think. there was one bamboo pole on top of a wide bowl like entrance, dont think they cared. quite good coverage upper mountain.
One more year of not going to Hood despite dreaming of it all year long. At least this time it's not because I can't afford it. Just don't have time/possible truck issues/possible new knee injury :(
Somehow after 8 years in Reno I had never skied mammoth. Got down there finally this weekend and it was siiiick.
Also hucked my first backie in probably 4 seasons. Ran a chute and was coming up on a windlip/cliff and just felt like doing one. Ate shit and it looked real bad but whatever
First day back on the skis Saturday after spraining my MCL a month ago. Knee feels good but hard to remind myself to take it easy especially looking at the slushy parks
RparrFucking hell, didn't you just have yours done last year?
Yea dude but it's the other knee. I skied a banked turn in some side trees of a green and got a tad backseat, felt a weird jolt and my friend commented saying I did something weird. Never crashed or had problems the rest of the day but it's pretty sore at the end of each day now and it really only hurts very randomly, or else I'd never know it got hurt. That's what my torn ACL was like, too. Idk trying not to think too much about it, not sure if i want to even get it checked out yet because of mental health lmao

I like seeing people in beat up boots ripping; they're making a passion project and it comes through when you see a dude hit a big rail and he's got 5 year old boots on.

officechairSaw a group skiing in their phd graduation robes. New level of obnoxious.
How dare someone be proud of themselves and try to get some fun photos after dedicating 6-8 years of their lives to bettering themselves and working their ass off.

the whole rest of their lives they will have a dr. suffix and a fancy acronym in their name. They’ll be flexin everyday for the rest of their lives. Might as well start the flex on the hill aye? 😆
