i am an enjoyed of the nine knights builds every year but boy do i wish it would go back to the castle style builds little me was mind blown seeing a mini ramp on top of a snow castle on the 2015 build.
my buddy showed up today and we hiked a lil rail in the mini park and then a big tube in the medium park and played a couple games of ski. i learned so much today. wish i had more homies to shred with cause that was probably my first proper park day since november early season park. stoked on it!
Do any Utah ski areas offer something similar to the real deal system in CO for employees? Any way for employees at one resort to get free/heavily discounted day tickets elsewhere outside of industry letters?

I’m in Breck and can ski the other local mountains and have been working on rails and stuff in the big terrain park if you want a park buddy (I do!). Going to Copper today. Friend says they have a dope terrain park

Sadly I do not think so since everything is Alterra or VR now so you're kinda screwed if you don't have an employee pass. If you work at a PWDR resort, you do get free tickets to Snowbird which was fun.
Deer Valley used to have a pretty cool program where it was a resort exchange program (PC/Brighton/Snowbird) but that was a long time ago, at least 8 years at this point. Wish the industry was a lot more giving back there than here. The Real Deal system is absolutely clutch. So much skiing you can do for free or for $10.

one year breck closed like 4/24 or something and A basin got 84 inches of snow after breck closed which was wild. that was back when A basin had the partnership with the epic pass so breck wasnt trying to compete with the late season traffic like they do now.
A Basin is nuts today. First day skiing it. Should’ve brought my board instead as I only have 100s. I keep getting caught in uphill only areas at A Bay, what gives? Happened like four times today so far. Fresh, deep lines every run though.
Got turned away at Copper because apparently they are the only Ikon resort that doesn’t allow spring season skiing if you buy next season’s pass.

Game for whatever! Maybe Breck Monday? I don’t know WP at all and would be happy to try it whenever. Tomorrow may be a good opportunity to hike the peaks I haven’t at Breck yet. Sunday undecided for me still. I think it’s Vail’s last day. One year I did morning Easter church on Vail then skied down, was pretty cool.

Lmao. @egirl.ski said pull up to ut and dipped. (For legitimate reasons) Don’t pull that lol. I want to, got a homie who I can crash with and know a bunch of folks going. Behind the ball on pass stuff though. And my boss already gave me two extended periods off and I’m not trying to abuse that. We’ll see, baker seshup in may for sure.
Had the closest call I've ever had to actually killing someone on skis today. Was considering hitting the big Peruvian moto gap at snowbird and went to my spot on the inrun. Friends were there and there was some traffic around it but everyone saw me standing there and stopped to see if I was gonna hit it. I feel pretty comfortable at this point on it but it's still scary, and I dropped in to hit it. As soon as I took off, I saw someone had decided to drop in where i couldn't see him from tbe inrun and slowly traverse into the landing right behind everyone while they were telling him to stop. I just remember thinking, I'm hitting this guy at the worst, hardest point of impact, right before I land with all my forward and downward momentum going straight from my skis knees and hips into his torso head neck. This isn't a oh I'd hurt the guy type of crash, like he'd legitimately be fucked up, ribs, spine, head paralysis, maybe death. I just yelled 'Ohhhh fuck' and tried to contort my body in the air and by some miracle I missed him by inches, my friend swears he heard my ski clip his jacket. I landed and skied down to some other friends at the bottom and just was fucking blank mind for a sec. I'm just so glad that didn't happen. Moral of the story is I'm not hitting that with other people around who I don't know at this point, that was probably the scariest thing I've ever had happen to me on skis. My friend has a clip of it, might put it up later, might not.

This weekend has been one of the most fun skiing experiences I've ever had. Skiing on Easter has always been a tradition of mine since I was a kid, so it's been cool to be able to do it in CO of all places. Hope you all had a fun weekend too.

A Basin was dope except for the parking ticket I got (didn't know I had to pay in the lot I was in because last time I didn't have to pay + it's the freakin' Lord's day) . A couple bands were playing bluegrass at the base and the whole bottom half of the front side becomes a natural amphitheater where you can just lap the base lift and ski to live music. Sick.
Also a major shout out to the homie on Kartel 108's with Arsenic stickers who stopped to chat about skis at the top of Super Gauge/Sunnyside.You're probably on here but hell yeah dude.
Finally decided to grow some balls yesterday! Perfect spring day, jumps were firing, beers flowing, feeling loose. Friends went back to the car, I wanted to keep skiing. Was chilling at the top of the jump line as an unknown homie gets all buttery on his way over. I say, "Yo I haven't done a cork sev in like 8 years, you think today's the day?"
I drop in, approach the lip, and in contrast to the last decade of bitching out at the last second, actually threw the damn 7. And it was perfect, like one of the best I've ever done. Spotted the landing, skis came around, didn't have to open up to prevent overrotating, just set it down smooth and rode away like the g my wife thinks I am. Skiing is the best
