This is where old employee housing all was at Crystal. Its now a parking lot. They had maybe 20 employee trailers there this year because they fucked up their plans to build trailer spots in Greenwater.
All the trailers are moving in a month. Crystal doesn have a place. 6 trailers can go to this one spot in Greenwater. I think thats it.
Planning to come back 1 last season but if housing is super dicked I'm gonna probably not.
Plan is a go I guess on building all their housing in Enumclaw. Won't be done for years and even when its done will be shit. Hour drive after previously having staff on site. Enumclaw is cattle, horse, farming town not a ski town.
They're spending a bunch on housing but the planning is all bad. They already struffle to staff the place. They already lean on j1s way too much for all f and b and lifty jobs. I don't see people that weren't applying before suddenly getting interested with an hour commute each way.
I guess at least we'll have a new 30 million dollar base lodge to sell overpriced food.

Ski industry doing ski industry things
There were so many j1’s the year before last. I remember everyone was complaining about the housing then so can only imagine how annoyed they are now. The shuttles were running from that location and I remember people bitching how long the bus ride took. I was staying in Alta.

Yeah it's going to be interesting. Honestly kind of scummy to have the j1s at buck creek. No cell service(they out wifi in) no cars, a couple miles down a beat to shit road, 12 min to gw 15 to the mtn by car. No town, nowhere to walk to. Pretty shitty deal honestly.
I'll probably do another season at buck creek. The current trailer shit show is exactly why I didnt buy one. And it went better than expected.
Idk shitty thing because its a cool mtn. Some places just get run like shit. Im surprised they haven't bought anything in greenwater. Even if you could only house some stafff. Some groomers, patrol etc. Couple trailer spots and a house or two. Not gonna fill the needs but those are the people that can go to any other mtn easy these days. And arent going to stick around if they keep getting fucked over.
Oh well. Glad I got a few years in before it started to get run like a walmart or something.
PR‘d yesterday with a 6:20 very happy about that. Also excited to finalize talks with college coaches this summer and hopefully commit next fall or winter 😃

Almost wore one to bed last night. The mosquitoes were so bad in the bassment I spent another 45min before bed smashing them. Then I fell asleep counting the mosquitoes I smashed on my wall. 53 on the wall many more on the ground. Then I went to the bathroom and killed some more.

I was recently in the Isle of Man watching the TT races. Amazing riding and experiences!! Saw Dunlop break the record, straight up insanity! This was Gary Johnson’s supper stock bike all torn down getting ready for the next day.
