That’s definitely fair I have a ton of friends who are all v divided on the whole music v no music debate, I like one earbud mostly just for the lift, I sort of zone out when I’m skiing so I don’t hear the music anyway. But yeah if you blast music out of a jansport backpack while you push snow around I’m not gonna keep quiet about it I can’t fucking stand that. I don’t even care what music it is, it’s just so easy to wear headphones not everyone wants to hear your music

I have no problem asking people to turn their music down or off. going to just start doing it myself if a power button is visible and in reach. Only person playing music at the mountain should be the dude swinging chairs.

Liftys speaker broke and could only loop darude sandstorm, still better than a frat boy with a speaker.

Yeah backpack speakers are the worst. It is funny though, my brother physically cannot ski without music and I on the other hand cannot listen to music when I ski. It doesn’t throw me off or anything I just hate it

I Strava my skiing. I totally agree that the elevation count, number of runs, etc. is pretty useless. One time tracking did come in handy though was when a friend lost their ski in a glade. It was close to last chair so we had to abandon the search and try again the next day. Because we both tracked our run, we knew the relative location of where to look the next day since it shows where we stopped to look. Although you could just take a GPS point, we got distracted with the hunt and forgot so was nice we had something to focus the search.
I'd sooner collect old ski tickets than mark up a ski like that...

I don't keep track of everyday but I do write notes on almost anyday that is even a little above average. A little note about how I was feeling, some of the things that were happening, the snow, people I was with. Its super nice looking back at those in the summer or seasons later.
