Was thinking of buying some waterproof ribstop and making snowpants anyone in here made them and got any advice?

Thinking about it I wanna make something similar shape wise to these tho just bigger

They some like 06-07 brown tnf pants and I’d kill for a xl or large pair. Figured I could maybe make something similar just no liner

oh right yeah. i bet the anytides homie will help you out. those would be fire if they were made in goretex

yeah i have been lately making shells out of ripstop, not super difficult but very time consuming if you wanna do em right, message me on here or on ig @lids4domesand i could point you in the right direction

just caught up on what fabric to use because it’ll be only one layer( I’m not lining it) any suggestion?

Ribstop @mott recommended ottetex or otterex something like that

yeah that definetely sounds about right, most pairs ive made are about 5-6 hours fully per pair from cutting material to finish

I’ve made a few pair of pants and so far I found the best material to be Seattle fabrics 3l waterproof wind proof fabric. It’s a bit expensive but is super quality. The ottertex 8.7 oz polyester rip stop is what anytids, re3valuate, and sovyrn use. It’s also super good material and it costs a lot less. As far as the fit goes, just feel it out. Look at specs on other pants, do your research

Hell yeah bruh. Shit and I still got em, they still kickin.
But tbh I found another way to "make" snow pants, that's even easier and cheaper, and arguably higher quality.
