If another snowboard company started to make skis, who would you want it to be?

OG snowboard company Lib Tech recently started making skis and they've actually been really interesting designs compared to most freestyle skis on the market.

I don't know much about snowboard brands but I vote Capita...they seem pretty rad.

The Lib tech stuff is awesome. I am friends with one of their head engineers and they have some sick concepts they are working on. I'll ask him if I can drop a pic or some other info.

As for other snowboard brands to make skis, Capita is sick, their graphics really remind me of the old Moment stuff. Jones or Arbor would be sick too.

If it’s the Arbor aesthetic you want you should check out our skis. Arbor’s wood topsheets were a bit of an early inspiration.


Not sure why people keep saying Arbor. When I was in the downhill longboarding community they weren't taken very seriously anymore as they made pretty much exclusively cruisers and no downhill/freeride/hybrid decks. What makes their snowboards particularly interesting?

I know Weston is making skis rn but none of the models seem particularly interesting to me so far...also with so many different smaller ski brands being produced out of the Never Summer factory it's almost as if Never summer has a ton of skis at this point (even if they're not directly related or designing them at all).

I really like the wood veneer topsheets. idk about the actual quality of boards tho

id prolly vote capita just because they have some sick designs and some really cool tech, like the flat kick tips and kevlar strips in the core

Line got Kevlar in the Visions this year (or Aramid, which is pretty much Kevlar)

What makes the Nitro Cannon the Nitro Cannon? It's got a swallowtail and a pointed nose but Pollard's new Season Forma has that too. Is it chargy or something?

btw "Dinosaurs Will Die" is the most snowboarder-y brand name I've ever heard of

Coming from someone who skis and snowboards (but haven’t ridden an arbor) from my understanding they make good looking boards that just feel good not bad swing weight good flex patterns and the westmark rocker and camber are both really good mid soft flexing boards that ride totally different but both ride really well and have sick super blunted tips. They have good park boards but also have some cool pro model and free ride boards. And I think some have a version of magne traction and also have multiple sidecuts built into the edges of some boards giving good grip and maneuverability

Definitely bataleon ( lobster same brand ) it would be cool if they could somehow introduce their 3bt technology into a ski wether it’s before the side cut and just in the top and tail or through the whole ski. If they could implement it without killing edge hold, turning performance, stability etc. it would make A.) a really dope jib ski where you couldn’t catch an edge on surface swaps or presses or B.) it would make a sick powder ski that would be super surfy and wouldn’t hook in deep snow and as a result of that you could probably be able to have more camber on your low skis if you wanted that.
