AbiHDude that’s sick! I’ve been attempting meditation on and off for a year but I suck at it haha!
DeebieSkeebieshell yeah dude, morning yoga gang rise up.
started doing it a bit as PT last summer, carried over into stretching before skiing everyday/days off, and tried to keep up with it during all the lockdowns but it fell to the wayside...picked it back up after working all summer and been doing it for like 4 weeks straight. cant really get to the gym a bunch rn so just being able to get more flexible + mentally chill is good too
CrunnchyVanMangood shit man, it rly makes your mind and body feel so much more relaxed throughout the day, not even tryna sound new-agey but thats just how it be
DeebieSkeebiesfor real. not even new agey or anything like that. i started doing it to basically tame anxiety and control the mind more + feel better. its nice to set your intentions on what youd like to achieve for the day and start off grounded, and then go back to breathing exercises throughout the day to re-center focus.
SuspiciousFishI need to get back into Yoga. It sounds cliche but Yoga really does take your skiing to the next level both mentally and physically. I feel like I have complete control over every muscle in my body to turn etc. I would stand on the top of a run in mountain pose then launch down and feel myself make only a tiny adjustment in a single muscle in my right foot to throw down a huge carve. Its really good for injury prevention as well. I used to do the Rodney Yee Energizing set before heading up to the mountains then the Rejuvenating one when I got home.
I dont really meditate but I have a couple really nice Singing Bowls I like to play. I am really good at playing them even from the first time I picked one up at a shop. I must have been a Tibetan monk in my past life or something.
Lé.SkiingSo rad to see more and more people getting into meditation. I've been doing it for a while now but recently(before covid hit) started getting into group meditation and silent retreats. Something about it just refreshes my mind.
Also started getting into singing bowls and sound baths there's something about it that just gets into my core.
snowmosexualI'm big into yoga and meditation after taking a lot of religion classes in college. I just started doing yoga about a year ago and haven't been too disciplined in practicing everyday, but it definitely helps to reach the avatar state while skiing/biking/playing music for me.
Zen buddhism is pretty dang cool. I like zazen meditation where you sit with your eyes open and count your breaths to ten for 10-20 minutes. Its a pretty easy way to achieve an empty mind.
I was just recently gifted a copy of The Art of Power by Thich Nhat Hanh. I've only read the intro and first chapter, but I'm diggin it
SplendorI have been practicing yoga for 2 years every morning. Yoga even helped me out of my depression a few years ago.
snowmosexualI went to a samadhi bliss class last night that went through some quick flows, a kundalini breath work exercise, and a guided meditation. I probably can't relate the meditation without sounding like a nutcase, but I can give my word that the weirder side of yoga is fully worth it and can give you some intense insight.
SquirtleWhere do you guys get your yoga routines from? I'd like to try classes at some point when covid is over, but rn I've mostly been getting my routines from YouTube. (Yoga with Adriene. Sarah Beth, Boho Beautiful). Do any of you know of any other good sources for routines, or YouTubers?

ElcheapoI want to start yoga but don't know were to start. Or how
