What are good hikes to do in Utah - either big or little cottonwood canyon. Not trying to die at chad's or pyramid gap but getting bored with in-bounds.
How experienced are you with backcountry skiing? Do you have a beacon/shove/probe and avalanche training? Unless you really know what you are doing I would say inbounds. A fair number of people die in the Wasatch backcountry every year.
I've done a good amount of lift accessed side country and have some avy gear but am not super comfortable with it. Looking for the middle ground - someone's first exposure to real backcountry.. trying to earn my tracks a little
