Sending out of park vs on park

Which do you think requires more skill? The guy who can do say for example 360s, backflips, and frontflips out of park or the guy who can throw rodeo 5s and cork 7s on park jumps? Just an example, which do you guys think is more difficult?

Depends on the feature out of the park. Some features are easier than others - people throwing off high consequence cliffs and spines is much more technical than throwing off a wind lip. Most of the guys throwing out of the park can throw in the park as well.

I think their both equally skillful

But out of the park is a little more technical depending on what your skiing.

Out of park takes more skill. Parks are built, maintained and made consistent for those tricks. Backflipping into a mogul field off a janky ass clif takes a lot more skill than a park jump imo.

if you can send out of the park you can most likely stomp it in the park.

That's why it's requires more skill. The landings are usually more variable too as well as the take offs

outside of park is objectively harder, unless you can build a better feature than one in the park. parks are built to do the stuff we do

definitely depends on the park, at my local mountains the jumps are using built pretty bad and can be pretty sketch

If you only send "safe" things out of the park, you probably aren't sending anything. Nothing is safe about dropping cliffs and throwing tricks unto unpredictable landings.

Objectively inside the park is probably safer and easier.

Subjectively, I have yet to learn a trick in the park. I can't do much, but what I can do, I do outside the park. I have yet to land a flip in the park, learned em in chopped up snow, continue to do them outside the park, way to scared to try them on a park jump.

The first time you throw a backflip on skis you should build a jump on a pow day. Some people just bail mid air and land upside down on their neck/back.

Building a jump and hitting it take at least half a day. Which is a completely different story than seeing a boulder/stump and saying "that looks like a jump I am throwing a cork 7 first try". Without building a lip on the jump or taking some speed checks requires some serious skill. Landing in pow requires a full stomp too, you cant be off axis and wash out like you can on a groomed landing.

I think it requires more skill to do big impressive things out of the park. But I found it easier to learn tricks 5 and under out of the park and I learnt everything over a 5 In the park so it really depends. Also out of the park is pretty vague sending cliffs and stuff in AK is crazy But if you’re hittin snowmaking mounds on the ice coast it’s not that difficult.

I was kind of implying that most cliffs I've seen have trees in the landing or have nowhere to land at all.
