Candide 1.0 or K2 Poacher?

Hey guys! My name is Nick and I haven't posted in here for a long time and I need some help making up my mind.

I currently have a pair of 185 Armada JJ skis (117 underfoot) for powder and I am looking to get a pair of skis for park/piste and trees. I want a ski that is rather stiff so that is stable on the piste to do some carving with friends. I don't go to the park as frequently as I used to but I still want a ski that is good in the park and allows some playfulness. Im 22 years old, 5 foot 8 and weigh around 154 pounds.

I was thinking of getting the Faction Candide 1.0 or the K2 Poachers.
I thought if the Candide 2.0 but as I already have wide skis I feel that 102 underfoot with 135 tip and tail is a bit too much.

Any options/advice/suggestions?

The Candide 1.0 is rather stiff, but is also very playful at the same time. So if you are going to use it for carving, aswell as park, its for sure a good choice. Haven't tried the 2.0, but i think its way softer then the 1.0.

The poachers are pretty fucking stiff for what I was expecting, and the 1.0s were softer than I was expecting. The factions are definitely more playful based on flex.

Yeah, haven't ridden poachers but a mate of mine said they were rather stiff and burly.

My 1.0's are definitely softer than what I expected. Super fun ski! Everyone says they are rather stiff but I owned filthy rich's last season and my 1.0's are more flexy.

Honestly for what it's worth, the 2.0 doesn't feel that wide at all. I bought a pair of them from AD for my brother and when I was back home for the holidays I tried them out and if I didn't already have a park ski they would definitely be my park ski. They're a super fun and playful ski.

I own a pair of k2 Poachers and am absolutely in love with them, heavy and stiff ski but they rip all mountain, and tear up the park at the same time, 10/10 would recommend

If you already had 117 underfoot powder skis, would you go with the Candide 1.0 or 2.0?

Funny u should say that. Cause that's what I have for my all mtn/pow ski and I'd still go for the 2.0. The reason I say that is you've still got tons of versatility with the 2.0 over the 1.0. If it's a more pow day and u still wanna hit the park you can whereas with the 1.0 your very limited to only park. Hopefully that helps.

Ended up going for the Candide 2.0. I figured they would be a much better fit for those days with some fresh snow but not enough to pull out the 117 skis. Thanks for the feedback!

i cant say i have much experience with either but, i have seen alot of people on the poachers these day. definitely worth a shot.

Oh totally, that's definitely a good choice. You won't be disappointed they're a super fun ski
