Hey Guys
I've been Skiing for 6 years now and got into park Skiing a couple of years ago. I mostly ski groomed terrain and never any powder. I hit the park once in a while. I'm not a big fan of rails but I like small/medium jumps and butters and other fun tricks.
I own Atomic Panic 2011 skis right now. I feel like they are stiff. I find it very difficult to butter or nose press with the Skis that I have now. May be I need to work on my techniques for buttering etc.
I'm 5' 8" and 155-160 Lbs.
1. How important is selecting the right type of Ski for buttering? Can you still butter and have fun with a stiff ski? What should I look for in a buttery/playful SKI?
2. I've heard that Line Afterbang is a very playful ski. Do you have any recommendations? I'd like to be able to Ski fast down groomed terrain and also be able to have fun on the trail ( butters etc) - and hit the park/jumps once in a while.
3. What are the disadvantages of owning a playful ski? Will it perform less on fast downhill skiing/carving and be unstable?
